i think my main design grip after having him for a bit are the feet and calves. i think i am so used to most of his tape deck figures and art having the feet come out of the calves. even if this design didnt allow it, i think at least it would have been possible to have the big silver squares on his calves flip around 180 degrees and then recess by pushing in to give it that look and have a molded outward piston showing.
Man just watched Peaugh video review on this guy and he looks awesome. I bet someone from Radicon will do a conversion with an ipod nano or something and make him into a real mp3 player now that the headphone jack is the right dimension of a real headphone jack.
Mine shipped today from HLJ along with MP Red Alert, a fantastic VF19 from Yamato and some gundam markers. I should have it on hand on the coming Monday [Friday is a very, very rare possibility]. Can't wait for it. Can't. Started transforming the rest of my MP figures in anticipation for him since yesterday.
Im figuring the Hasbro will come with the full army of cassettes, and a $100+ price tag...that I will gladly hand over for it.
Man, such a nice figure. I really don't know what else they could have done to improve it, other than the weird hips of course but I'm sure the designers did it that way for a reason.
Just ordered mine from toyarena, very excited. Already got my shipping notification just after a few hours I placed my order, plus free shipping!
Arrived from Kapow Toys today. Quick review: Everything I ever wanted from an MP Soundwave. There. That's it.
This guy is awesome. Great representation of soundwave and I personally don't think the hips are that strange
anybody's feet weird in that he sort of almost leans back just abit? I can't seem to get his feet to line up for him to stand in "attention"
Same problem here. It's a problem with how the legs articulate and whatnot. Probably my only complaint with the figure, but a serious one at that.
I had the same prob at first. I just pulled the feet over and down a tiny bit and it really helped. Hope that makes sence. Anyway, amazing figure, just got mine today. Seriously amazing. Best looking TF to date imo. Side note, I think im going to sell my TRU Reissue and encore cassette set (rumble/frenzy set) so I can buy the MP cassettes. So id like to get atleast $120 total. Is that a fair price? Anyone know how much I should ask for?
Would you pay $120 for them, just after MP Soundwave has been released? Personally, I wouldn't, and I come from and live in countries where TFs are way more expensive than the USA. But then, maybe other people might, I dunno. Basically, think about what you'd be willing to pay to buy them from someone else if you didn't have them and were interested, and that's what you should aim for.
Got mine last night...wow this figure is fantastic. The MP line has been on point. No issues with my hip joints and the paint is crisp all over. Love his eyes, they are like a candy apple red, it really brings him to life.
Is it opened? Because people can buy unopened TRU Soundwave for $60, and that Encore set of cassettes for $60. Charging the same price they'd pay at a retailer is risky, charging more (which you would be doing if they're opened) is just ineffective.
