BTW, I see all this arguing back and forth, WFC/FoC or Classics. I will go with the tried and true, "It's your collection, it is whatever YOU want it to be". Like FoC Grimlock will be my Classics Grimlock.

I'm actually going to swap out the right shin and foot with parts from E-Omega, and toch up some of that with paint to match the YOTS deco.

You would have to remmove the screws, and there's also a pin that holds the two halves together. I had to pull fairly firmly to get that pin to slide out. It was no trouble re-assembling it afterwards.

As I said before that argument doesn't really work. Any Transformers figure can be whatever the hell you want them to be. I like to call my Energon Downshift Wheeljack but that doesn't mean he is Wheeljack. I like to think of FE Vehicon as Prime Thrust and the PRID Vehicon is one of his drones but that doesn't mean he actually has anything to do with BM Thrust.

The arguing was about what Hasbro intended him to be which is obviously WfC Omega Supreme. If people want to put him in with Classics figures on their shelves that's fine. Great, he's your toy, you do what you want with him. But just because you personally want him as a G1 Omega Supreme doesn't mean he officially is a G1 Omega Supreme. Officially, according to Hasbro, he is WfC Omega Supreme.

I'm not arguing to say you can't put him on your classics shelf. I really don't care what you do with him. I don't care about your personal view of him. The argument is about what Hasbro intended and nothing more. Personally I don't see him as WfC Omega Supreme either because as I said in my first post, he's a rather lazy attempt at turning the Energon mold into something he was never meant to be. I would of preferred an entirely new mold that actually looks like his game model and not just a new arm and a new head. But just because I would prefer an entirely new mold that doesn't mean this isn't WfC Omega Supreme.

On that same note, just because I prefer the FoC Starscream which is actually based on his game model doesn't mean he didn't already have a WfC toy out before that. Cause to me WfC Starscream is just Cybertron Starscream in G1 colors. He actually does look a lot more like WW Starscream than he does WfC. Officially though he is WfC, unofficially, if you got one, you can stick it where ever the hell you damn well please.

Long story short... I'm never going to argue with you that your own personal preference is wrong unless you're trying to argue with me that your personal preference is factually correct.

I just kinda skimmed the messages. So factually speaking, you can be right. All it takes for you to be right is to get the quote from Hasbro. You get that quote and your done.

I personally think he works great as either or. More so then most figures out there. For me, it is going to go in my classics. But shit, I would get a second for WfC as well if I had the resources available (or if this year wasn't so TF crazy).

The thing with him is that he never really had a real earth mode. So that could have been his cybertronian mode anyway. So it could work for both. At least for me.

What do you mean he didn't have an Earth mode? The original Omega Supreme was a rocket (arms) and a tank (Torso) Seems like an Earth mode to me. Though I guess he could work as a Cybertronian mode as well because I don't know any rockets with claws at the bottom or tanks that run on train tracks. lol

Anyway... I kinda like to think of WfC/FoC as a prequel to G1 even though the plot line doesn't really fit all the same characters are there with designs that could easily work as Cybertronian modes for G1 Transformers. The Ark and Nemesis even look the same as they did in G1 minus the fact that the Nemesis is Trypticon.

I kinda wish I had G1/Classics stand ins for all their Earth modes that are all Deluxe size figures. Air Raid/Fireflight, Soundwave, and the Combaticons don't really have any Earth mode equivalents in the Classics/Generations toy line. Shockwave doesn't either but then again Shockwave has never had an Earth mode in any continuity. Ultra Magnus does have a toy in that line but it's just a white Optimus Prime and I'd prefer the same new head sculpt+blue and red paint job treatment the FoC version got. And Megatron just plain doesn't have any toys I like.

Some times the ones on my Energon Omega Supreme pop off while I'm transforming him. Maybe that's a QC issue with mine. Doesn't really bother me though cause I can easily pop the guns right back in and it doesn't happen often enough to get annoying.

Interesting. The ones on my E Omega do not, and recently I've acquired two more for customs-fodder, and they don't on those either.

    Yours must be special! :D

Seriously though, it does sound like a QC issue. Glad its not really annoying.

Well I'm glad it's not a universal problem with the mold... but it is kinda sucky that I had to get the only one with that issue...

On the plus side there seems to be a problem with FoC Starscream's knees breaking as I've seen a lot of comments about that and I haven't had any issues with the knees on mine. So I guess it all works out. ;)

No, because nothing on the package mentions WFC.

Officially, according to Hasbro, he is "Year of the snake plantinum series Omega Supreme" and nothing more.

Okay so I posted this in the 3rd Part OS thread as well. But besides aesthetics and the price tage, these guys can pretty much do the same thing:

1- Size: YOTS is actually taller I believe, if not the same height.

2- That whole, I can hold things over my head thing. YOTS can do it as well. Even though the hand doesn't wrap around as well.

I haven't received mine yet, so I'm lurking in this thread out of anticipation. But I had to think long and hard over which Omega to buy.

In the end I chose the Year of the Snake Omega, but it wasn't money considerations. I want mine to go with my classics collection, and while the new hand sculpt is clearly based on the computer games... the entire 3rd party sculpt is 100% accurate to the game. So I find it easier to see this Omega as a classics style update, where it diverges from G1. The 3rd party is pretty obvious about what it's supposed to be, and the face sculpt is a big deal to me. I like things to be closer to the cartoon.

I do wish this version had the tracks on the back, because they are pretty iconic for the character. I like the alt mode more though. The 3rd party version has a Titanium-level alt mode... lol. It's not the toy designer's fault, but it seems more like a big Action Master Deluxe...

I also have a big love for naval warships, so the space-battleship alt-mode tickles my fancy. :)  Just thought I'd explain why I went for this Omega Supreme.

Give it time my friend. Let's see what Maketoys does.

I will say the 3rd Party one is as close as you can get for the FoC OS.

It doesn't even have die cast! You will buy only three of them (one for your friend).
