The only BH toy I saw, so seemingly the shelf-warmer already.

As already known, it's a heavily modified version of the Prime-RID Bumblebee mold. Notable changes include:

. The obvious more heavily-armored and armed look, with a bunch of black spikes

. In addition to the two small double-barreled cannons which mount on the arms, A large bow-like sping loaded missile launcher is included, along with six spearlike missiles, all of which can be stored on clips either on the launcher or the car doors. The 'arms' of the bow pop out when a missile is loaded, but do not necessarily go back when fired. The door clips rotate to get out of the way for either mode. The launcher seems to work better in the hand for robot mode, as it falls out of the forearm holes easily.

. There is no clear plastic on this one. The windows are painted and there's no light piped eyes. Most of the parts which were clear plastic on RID-Bee are replaced with yellow-orange swirled plastic. (the launcher is this too.) Aside from the black spikes, there is little paint on the rear half of the car - no painted rear window, tail lights, or exhausts.

. The wheels are now of the clip-on type. I don't mind these personally, but the yellow plastic clip comes through the center of the wheel in an unattractive way.

. A few small transform differences: The 'shoulder pads' can be locked in place for robot mode, and need to moved down so the spikes point out the front of the car. The hinge that lets the car roof kibble fold up is gone now, so you either have it getting in the way behind the legs, or pull the roof higher so it looks like the neck of a fancy vampire cape.

. The auto-morph head reveal now works much better than previous Prime-RID-Bee versions, and doesn't leave the neck popped up. You may need to fiddle with it a bit, as the new spiky head shape sometimes hangs it up if not careful.

Overall: This ain't gonna change anyone's mind if you don't like Prime or the Bumblebee mold (or clip-on wheels). The improvements are balanced out by the back-slides. I kind of enjoy the 'roided out over-the-top feel of it though, so it ain't bad at all, and you get a lot of weapon accessories with this one

Would it be possible to part-swap with an original RID Bee to get rid of the clip-on wheels?

Not bad, I'm hoping the mold gets repainted into something else (like shadow BB and Hotshot) so I can give it a try. The remolding and weapons are pretty cool.

Might be possible, but you'd probably trade out sizable chunks of the vehicle mode to do so.

I understand people not liking them, but I don't roll my cars around too much so clip-on wheels are a non issue for me. Might even be better if you want to disassemble the figure for whatever reason. A lot of toy companies are moving away from too many metal parts in their toys lately, and not only for budget reasons.

Jesus. Six missiles? That's just... odd. In this day and age of cutbacks, why give the guy six giant missiles?

    I'm so confused.

I feel an urge to buy this figure and repaint it. The design looks too badass to be for BUMBLEBEE, especially that new forehead crest.

Horrible. Lack of clear plastic makes this thing look really ugly. And I hope those pegs/clips sticking out of the wheels doesn't become a habit.

The random swirled plastic coloring is annoying. Either do the entire figure like this or leave it out. It doesn't help anything look better in the long run and makes it look 'repaired' more than cool.

Now this is a Bumblebee I wouldn't mind buying.
Question, are the missile launchers on the doors removable?

    Ebay:
Could use moar pics for the review my friend.

It's wierd. I see the pics, and I'm all..."damn...that is the worst shit I've seen from a transformer toy" then, when I'm not looking at the pics, in my head it looks damn awesome..then I come back to look at the pics and I'm all "damn...that is the WORST shit I've seen.."

I really wanna love the madmax apocalyptic look...it just does not look well on the toys.

Is what I think I'm going to do, is take a voyager box, and every figure that comes out in this line, I'm gunna toss the money I would have spent on that figure, in the box. There may be a beast hunter I buy, but I dont see shit I want now. I'm thinking in a few months I will have saved enough cash to buy hot rod and camshaft to complete my alternators collection.

I just dont WANT myself to buy this stuff.
