After going to both Transformers Rides (Singapore & California), I've done up reviews for anyone interested... and some useful info on Singapore for anyone in American thinking of going there for a holiday. A refresher of the timeline... Singapore opened first in December 2011 California opened next in May 2012 Florida is expected to be open mid 2013 Japan is the (currently) remaining Universal Studios... so maybe in 2014 for the next movie? Note that the Ride itself at both locations is exactly the same. So don't think you're missing something if you can only get to one, as the rides are virtually identical. The significant differences are the locations (the building and the exterior features), and the giftshop merchandise. Both of which are featured in my reviews (because I had trouble trying to find info on the available merchandise before I went there, so didn't want anyone else to have that same hassle). The Hollywood one - I went on September 11, and was just in LA for the day. I've already done a lot of tourist things in LA (Disneyland, Hollywood, etc) so didn't want to do much outside of Universal on that trip. The Singapore one - I went November 21st, with 5 days spent exploring Singapore (it was my first time there). Start at this page if you only want to see the Transformers Ride part of my trip. It'd be good if the Florida one is open in time for BotCon next year, so that I can check that one out as well while I'm in America. Hope this helps out anyone thinking of going to either of the Transformers Rides.
Thanks for posting this, dude! I was at the Singapore studios about a month ago, and you've brought back some great memories. It was on a saturday and it was RAMMED (and hot)! So busy, but I still got to go on the TF ride twice, and it was amazing. Simply mindblowing. Sure, it seems to fit NOWHERE in the Bay movie canon, but even still, it really did give me goosebumps! I was there on the 17th Nov, and they must have done some upgrades, because I don't remember seeing the Spark shard or the hieroglyphic tablet pieces at all whilst in the que! But that shop... man, I was in pure heaven. I could have spent so much money. As it was, I picked up a couple of evacs and a GDO wheelie. Great memories. Thanks again! Here's a pic of me and Evac!
