Prime himself looks great in this set for the price, everything else is just a bonus, even if you don't like the wing design or cannons.

 

I hadn't actually heard of Jetwing prime and had no real interest in him till I saw one of these threads, I saw it with the bright colours and lines on the wings and thought it looked a little iffy at first, then I saw the unpainted original and it just looked cheap and lazy, nothin to distinguish the internal bits from the shell etc.

I love the paint work on this pack and wouldn't swap it for the original for half the price.

 

really, it doesn't matter. if you like this mold and don't have one yet, you gotta go for it. there are easy paint fixes if you don't like gun colors.

even if you have the original rotf mold, this thing is like a brick compared to it. the remolded buster prime is just fantastic in comparison, and you get the extra guns too.

like I said I thought this thing looked fugly as all getout, but bit at $61. I would have paid full price without a second thought after handling it now. this is the best toy that $52 can buy right now, get one while you can.

I can see that but I still think it looked like blaze orange safety regulated shit. I know why it was done, and that's probably why it detracts from the appeal for me. But now it is fixed and all is well.

 

Hey buddy...if its not too much to ask...can you post a pic of the pen you used for the cannons...just want to make sure I get the correct one and it would help others out here as well as the match looks dead on...great idea buddy...and thanks in advance

I think the guns are still a little tacky, but for $52 you are getting this for an amazing price. Hell I paid $52 on shipping and taxes for my Takara one alone

the first pic of the silver one with "metallic" on the pen is what you want. they will come in a few different tip sizes too. though like I said if you're more comfortable painting with a brush, you can just leak the paint into a small bottle or container and just use as needed.

 

I was going to order it for 52 and then when I checked out, I saw I had 45 dollars sitting in my discover cashback, made it a no-brainer purchase.

 

I usually get Amazon money for Xmas. Was thinking I would use it on Generations Omega Supreme, if that ever pops up on Amazon. This guy is starting to look tempting though.

 

Just ordered this as well. Even at $75 shipped to Canada, it was a steal.

I would like to see it too. Hopefully someone can take it a step further if they don't like the gun base's color. I just ended up liking it's uniqueness, so I stopped after the tips.

I ordered this guy this morning, now where can I get me a set of those blades?

 

No chrome, no pin stripes on the flames, and the nasty ass colors on the gatlings...easy pass.

 

I used a thick/bold one and leaked the paint out into a bottle, then brushed on. You could do the same with the fine or medium ones too.

The only reason is that the marker tips are a bit more finicky then a brush and can make application harder then it should be. But the paint itself is awesome and a complete match, so just brushing it on is pretty simple and easy.

 

You know, I love the people that come on and say, I love my $250 Takara one better. Look at those paint apps. PFFT.

OK, all I can say to that is, I can spend $200 and get a Radicon to paint this up to make the Takara one look like Garbage and we would still be at the same price point for the toy.

Having said that, please let's stop comparing the Takara toy to the Hasbro toy of any figure.

Back on point, this thing is a great figure. For $52 you have to be CRAZY to pass this up.

 

Pinstripes and chrome would have been nice, but at $52 this thing is a steal. I can do without the all-over silver paint on the premiums, doens't look realistic to me. I have my other ROTF leader with some minor silver and blue paint additions (face, sides of stomach, and bands on arms and feet), and I'm pretty happy with the way it looks (and no paint/chrome scratches to worry about). I'll do the same with this one when I get it... it will be the biggest friggin' thing on the shelf!

 

Now I want to replace my ROTF Prime whose back panel broke...

 

$52 is pretty great just for the updated leader Prime mold. The Jetpack is just a bonus.

 

Jetwing Optimus just went up to $83.99

So much for waiting for it to drop just a little more before pulling the trigger.
