No pics for this unfortunately - after I opened up my Silas Breakdown I found out he had one of the wheels missing so he is going back for an exchange. It's a shame because I was looking forward to sharing this with you, but them's the breaks. I'll do a gallery once I get my replacement, promise :)

The official pics are up in the Resources page here and I'm sure others can weigh in with photos once they start getting theirs. My purpose in making this thread was just to cover a few of the core points of the toy that I know some of you have raised.

    • Deco - looks really nice, lots of blck and dark grey. There's a few stickers for his feet and waist still, but the kneecaps and the piston details molded in below are painted. He would probably look fine completely unstickered.
    • The headsculpt - LOVE! Really well done, lots of cracks and damage molded in, looks spot on to the show.
    • The little Silas molded in his stomach - it's a really nice touch. It could have used a bit of paint to bring the face of Silas out a bit as I believe someone has already done, but it is a nice additional bit of detailing that makes the toy just a little more interesting.
    • The stickers - obviously I did not get to apply them, but special mention goes to the stickers - they include a lot of additional silver stickers for "cracks", so you can use them to recreate the look of CyLAS as he appears in the show, or leave them off if you would prefer a cleaner deco. Again a very nice touch.
    • Compared to (War) Breakdown - the extra details really do distinguish Silas Breakdown from the vanilla Breakdown. The new head is great, the new bumper on the front makes for a meaner chest.

Overall, this is a very nice remold. The new head is extremely well done, the deco looks quite sharp and it helps to keep it distinct from War Breakdown. The stickers and the Silas inside are very nice touches.

Again apologies that I cannot share any photos, it didn't seem right to snap a few pics of a toy I'm returning for an exchange on Monday. But take my honest word for it, this is a fantastic version of Silas Breakdown / CyLAS and I'll be watching out for the postie bringing my replacement, because this toy is well worth it.

Here's something I'm curious about: Can you pop off the grill, and how does he look with it gone? Obviously you can't take pics now, but does it look any decent, or is the grill better left on?

I think that it was said in another thread that you can't pop it off.

So I assume he'll look like a black Breakdown without it.

    Oh and: :useless

I was on the fence about this figure then once he arrived I was in awe of head sculpt and overall look.

Is the weird grill removable? I already have War Breakdown and I prefer it, but if that grill was removable then I'd be tempted to get him too. Otherwise, it sort of ruins the show-accuracy aspect a lot.

    is the grill removable, yes.

    is it easy. no.

it is connected with 2 pins and you run the chance of messing up the front of the chest and stressing it if not careful.

Here are some pics anyways I did the other day. I like the grill. And like the micron.

He's really fantastic. I kind of am indifferent about the grill in robot mode, but I think I'm warming up to it. I also hope someone paints up the Silas detail within the chest; it's really look great.

I'd post pics, but I've been without a camera for months now. :/

I went to a friend's house yesterday and I had a chance to play with it. I am a big fan of the mould, but I am not sure about the coloring on this. I like how they've painted the knee as opposed to stickers on Breakdown, but if you look at the back, it's pretty much all black. Had they painted the tire in grey, it would look better IMHO.

Got him today at the WI meetup. Awesome figure. Definately worth the price. I have him and regular Breakdown and both are awesome and different enough that I dont regret getting both. Head sculpt is fantastic as well as the Silas in the stomache. Only down side is his plastic feels REALLY cheap. Like I havent had an official product with plastic feeling this cheap, and I bought almost all of the current figures. It doesnt bug me much, but I can see where people would get annoyed, and also be careful cuz it could break easily.

Saw it at image anime. sweet head. Looks really nice overall. I'm passing as regular breakdown is enough for me, but this one came out really nice.

I couldn't bring myself to pay $90 or so for the regular AM Breakdown, so I sprung for this version from BBTS. Its in my PoL so I won't get it for a while, but I am super jazzed.

At the same time though a little uneasy since I just spent $50+shipping on a Voyager that doesnt even come painted. Guess we'll see when it arrives.

Because his head, face, eyes, side doors, hands and kneecaps aren't painted.

I had no real desire to own the original Breakdown, and originally got this one if only for the creepy looking Silas molded into his chest.

Both of his modes and his colors are imposing, and the grill really looks nice. And, as expected, Silas looks nice and creepy fused into his new body. The only pain was applying his tiny headlight stickers.

All in all, this figure blew me away. If you have some extra funds, get him from TFSource while he's still in stock, or BBTS if they get anymore in.

do you mean the main front headlight stickers? if you leave him transformed first and apply them it is easier since the grill will get in the way in vehicle mode.

I just wish he didn't have that front grill. I really wanted Breakdown, didn't get him before he sold out, and settled for this. Now looking at the photos, this version is in fact mostly better...except for the grill. And even then only in robot mode.

Is the Silas chest detail in any of these pics? I must be blind if it is, or is it inside the hood somewhere?
