I recently got hold of FOC DLX wave 3 consisting of Air Raid, Magnus, Sideswipe, Starscream and Kickback who is the subject of this review. Kickback was a complete surprise to me, I has no expectations but have ended up being very happily surprised. In my opinion he is the surprise hit of the FOC figure series so far. I'll explain why with a combo of pics and thoughts. Thumbs Up for: Solid bot mode (the insect arms should have been how airrachnid was done) ![]() Plenty of articulation in most areas Nice paint job Swords! ![]() Insect Arms are very strong and figure is very stable ![]() ![]() ![]() Fairly innovative transformation ![]() ![]() Thumbs Down for: Insect mode has a few issues (but still works) ![]() ![]() No red eye(s) Main weapon is pointless A summary of Kickback is that he is another solid figure that, along with Starscream, helps to banish the disappointments in the Prime and Jazz mold. The figure isn't hollow, it feels very solid and some minor gripes aside is a good addition to the Generations and/or WFC/FOC series. |

"It is only logical, as I gaze upon the spark of this femme-bot, that I guide my dexterous manipulator and apply additional servos to the task of making it stronger, so that she may comprehend a femme-bot's expected role. Logic dictates."
Really like this piece. Aside from a great looking bot mode, I'm actually fond of the alt mode as well. Good review, BTW. |

I like the Alt mode too, but it has a few issues which I think could be chalked down to trying something different - which I fully support. | |
