The only weakness in this TF are the legs. Front and Back.

 

Got one today... Wow, what a shitty Transformer. Garbage in alt mode, wonky robot mode. I should have kept my FP Insecticons!

 

Has anyone figured out a way to get the arms to plug together in bug mode? Mine keep splitting apart.

 

I have the same problem..the arms don't stay well.

I'm one that thinks most of the primeline and deluxes have been cheap garbage. When I seen kickback in the store, there was no way I could resist. Among the ugly blue Magnus, and red sideswipe, was this BRILLIANTLY decorated insecticon. I do.t even like beasts or bug TFs...but DAMN this one looks hot. Once out of the package, I would say this is the highest quality feeling deluxe I have bought in a very long time. I don't feel that hokey KO feeling plastic from most others.

Poseability is solid. I take the wing weapons, stick them on the legs and they never come off. In bot mode they very nicely fold between the other set of bug legs, and makes for a very convincing cape or wing set, and its not just unobtrusive, it really looks good that way.

Flipping the front chest pieces is mandatory. Gives such a better look, and shows off some sculpted detail you miss when folded down.

I really like this one. A lot. And I don't like bug or beast TFs.

 

I opened up my Kickback this past weekend. A lot of ups and downs with this figure.

For starters, forget the bug mode, it's a piece. You can't really pose the bug because of the legs being fidgety. The arms on mine also do not peg in properly to form its "butt" area.

The robot mode looks great though. He's decently poseable, has a great silhouette, and looks good standing along with other FOC figures.

Overall, he's definitely half worthwhile. If you see him I'd pick him up still.

 

i got mine today, dont like the bug mode but robot mode is kinda cool

 

I think the bug mode might look better with silver/gray wings. You might actually be able to distinguish the legs. Has anyone done this yet?

For the time being, I think it looks better not to attach the wings and keep the arms folded down.

 

I really like how the launcher looks on his back. It's about as big as DOTM shockwave tank like that...makes me feel its a huge ass deluxe.

I like this figure, it's the most unique out of FOC wave 3 and FINALLY Hasbro made a fully articulated Kickback! Took them long enough. I only wish we can see Hardshell and the other guy too.

I am worried that the gun will weigh down the arm joints BUT I am happy that it IS an actual gun from FOC, the Gear Shredder! Would be better on a larger figure though. Looked just okay on Soundwave. Is there really no place to put the gun on in Kickback's alt mode? WTF?

 

It slots into the hooks on the top of the wings. Makes him looks like a murderbug tank.

pleasantly surprised with this figure. Feels bulky, tight joints (though his weapon does weigh his arms down), plastic quality feels good, great colors, and some decent bulk to him. I haven't been impressed much with the FOC line, but this is definitely a gem.

The connection is so solid that it does not have a single chance to fall out.

That sounds better. I LOOOOOOVE how that murder bug looks with the weapon on its back. For some reason it reminds me of DOTM shockwave.

Yeah my gun doesn't wanna come out once it's in there. I'm loving this figure now that I have it. The paint apps really make it pop and it just looks badass in the bot mode. One of my chest flaps doesn't really want to stay up, but other than that, this guy is awesome! The bug mode is kinda average, but I love the way the robot head becomes the insect head. It even has the eyes molded in, as is shown better in the TT version (they painted the bug eyes). I'd recommend this figure. It's barely second to SS for the best from the FOC line so far.

 

I can see why this guy is overrated, his robot mode is great, but transforming him to insect mode isn't very fun nor is the alt mode itself.
