Exactly, it's amazing how wild some of the fans are on this Site. From swearing to calling people babies and it's all because some don't like the same toys.

I personally don't care if it's al Qaeda's fault for the shrinkage and poor quality.

It's still a pass for this upcoming wave regardless.

Actually, if you read, it was because you were using misinformed information and acting like it was fact. Not because you don't like the toy.

    So you say.

But when it's sealed up and shipped out, Hasbro's name is on the box not Halliburton or Congress. So please save the excuses.

Hasbro is still capable of making quality toys and have been so it's not like there's this plastic slump and toy companies are in panic mode. My issue is with consistency.

Deluxe figures range as much as $17 at retail yet aren't much taller than G.I. Joe figures these days. So pardon me for demonstrating more sense than dollars.

They're not excuses, they're facts. You're like talking to a brick wall. It is not Hasbro's doing that figures are smaller and more expensive. If the toys were bigger, the prices would almost definitely soar even higher and I'm willing to bet you'd be complaining even more then.

If you don't like what you're getting then that's your problem. As it stands, while there are some duds (Airachnid) like there are in every line, as a whole, Hasbro is still making quality figures, particularly in the Generations line.

    Haha.

Not only am I going to buy this figure twice mind you, but I'm going to paint one up into its AC Thundercracker color scheme just to annoy some of you folks.

Seriously from what I've seen of wave 3 there seems to be more effort and thought put onto the figures when compared to the first wave. Figure sizes having been going up and down in size and plastic and while the prices are increasing to the point of absolute certainty (WTF Target 19 bucks) they're certainly more fun to fiddle around with when compared to other toys on the market (baring 3rd parties mind you) and the articulation on even some of the over produced figures like FOC Optimus or RID deluxe Bumblebee have some pretty good articulation, which is more than I can say for the likes of Retrax or Movie 1 Scorponok, or the ROTF Arcee Twins, and so on and so on. I'd rather be spending my money on this hobby when compared to some of the other dumb shit I could be doing, some of which I'm not gonna mention for fear of kiddies and the easily offended *snorts*.

Shockwave is 5.5 inches including his wings and Joe's are 4 inches. (Though scrawnier than the 80's versions)

I don't mix hyperbole with observation.

I like this guy. Not sure about whether to jump on the Hasbro or the Takara one though. I like the price of this one but like the game accurate deco on the Takara one.

To be fair, some posters here seem to get pretty worked up...over toys.

I mean, it's not like Hasbro raped your childhood or anything.

You realize that 5.5" has been the average Deluxe height since "Deluxe" figures existed, right?

Which, again to be fair, would probably go a long way to explaining why they get called babies, and possibly even sworn at. I mean, I'm (thankfully) not an expert on sexual assault or anything, but apparently when it comes to bad stuff happening to people getting raped is kind of in a different league than inflation and toys decreasing in size. If said posters aren't just engaging in stupidly over-the-top rhetoric and actually do genuinely feel that way, then that's even worse.

EDIT - for what it's worth, I don't have FOC Starscream, and while I'll probably pick a TT one up when it hits the sales (since TF collecting is one of my hobbies) I'm not trying to either defend or attack it as a toy. None of my observations above are to do with "other people don't like a toy I like", they're all to do with 'Let's try and have some perspective here'. If you honestly feel like a smaller toy at more expensive price point is like 'your childhood getting raped' then maybe you should ease back a little and go out and take a walk or something.

    Guys.... C'mon...

This back and forth shit gets stale. This is a feedback forum. People post "reviews" and people comment on what they SEE and FEEL from the pics and descriptions of the review.

This shit goes both ways. Some guys say "that looks like shit" and then some guys that DO like something feel like they need to DEFEND it by posting snippy comments about how wrong someone is because they do not think it looks great from an internet review.

Then there's the guys that need to repeatedly bash something over and over hoping more people join that bandwagon, and when someone that likes it defends THAT...its like the serpent eating itself over and over...

It's the feedback forum. Unless its a mathematical proof, or a mechanical solid, there's no right or wrong...why can't people just respect that not everyone has to like everything they see? I look at this and I see a cheap looking toy that would have never passed for a transformer a few years ago. I do not feel its necessary to try to prove wrong the guys that really like it though..

I think you missed the conversation: We were defending the toy as he incorrectly blamed Hasbro for all its faults. Raping childhood BS was not actually brought up in the argument.

Got mine today and love it, my first deluxe since WFC Soundwave and the quality feels the same to me. My only gripes are the paint is horrible, well the blue is, way too dark and really doesn't come across well in pics. The other gripe being the hands not being painted and the head being black instead of blue. Mine will be sent off to be customized to be WFC accurate (as much as possible).

    Anyway here's some iphone pics:
