Great figure but its a shame the really obvious Jetfire retool isn't happening.

Came apart how? If you can't screw it, glue it.

I think this is a nice figure despite its flaws. I'll be getting TC and SW on sight.

I'm guessing that he never got glued, but I don't want to mess up his lightpiping/ plastic with the wrong glue/solution

I can't wait for TC and SW to hit retail. I love this mold.

I have to agree. Good articulation, interesting weapons, and good likeness to the WfC/FoC design.

I love this mold with a passion. Even more than the classic seeker mold which hasn't really aged well in my opinion

    Gotta get all three! :)
I just realized, now we have all 1984 'Cons in WFC/FOC cybertronian forms.

I'm in the same boat. This is the mold I will stick with for my group of Seekers.

I love this mold so much. it is rare for me to get multiples of the same mold (I mostly buy transformers for their transformation sequence and look... so without a retool it is useless to have the same figure) but for SW TC I'll make an exception.

Now we just need some third parties to finish making a few conversion kits so we can create Jetfire.

Whatever you do, don't use superglue. The stuff clouds up clear plastic.

Son of a... Mine had his left leg snap today. I shoulda paid more attention to his flaws. And I thought this mold was superior to the classics one due to that figure's fragile fins. Guess not. Too bad I love this mold. Gotta hit the stores and see if I can find a new one.

Everybody with one of these in tact: Use caution with his legs. Mine were never especially tight but snapped like a twig with a little movement. A loud audible snap at that.

I really want to get this figure since Thundercrakcer and Skywarp are coming, but I don't know which version. I want the TT version, and have the exact colours of that available. My plan was to simply paint the Hasbro version, but I can't find it anywhere. Now I'm wondering if my life won't just be easier ordering online, and if I'm gonna get it online, I might as well get the actual TT version.

    Decisions...

I got the TT version and it's a beautiful piece. The paintwork is very well done on mine. I splurged because I hadn't bought anything in some time and I wanted the more game accurate deco.

Yeah, the only thing is that it's also hard to find, for a good price. HLJ has it on backorder for $25 and that's... that's kinda steep, and backorders can take a while.

Few things, he arrvied this morning had him opend for a few hours.

The plastic on this guy feels so cheap but it doesnt just feel it, it looks cheap too, its a incredible light weight toy, I mean comparing it to my trasmetals and energon figures, its no compariosn, this is mostly because he has a gapig chest cavity. He doesnt have near enough detail and it looks like a rush job, the wings on the back ar molded in and can not move and the main wings on the side can only move up a little bit that is all.

in jet mode his head is sticking out right there, there is NOTHING hiding it, its lazy and compelety cheap ass handy work. His transformation is ridicuolusy simple mostly becaue they dident bother with the jet mode, in robot mode he is fine the still chaep and light weght but tirs obvious they focused on this mode only, he is very playable and poseable as a lot of movement across the arms and legs. His is not a a bad figure but my god hasbro has gone down in effort ca just imagine this guy with some proper effort.

    Why WOULD they move?

That seems like a pointless detail since the little wings only move in hovering jet mode, and the big wings don't move at all in jet mode in the games. They move just as much as they need to for Transformation. Honestly, I don't see why they needed to move except to give a little extra clearence for posing.

Didn't bother with the jet mode? It's entirely accurate, save the head which is hardly that big a deal. It's actually less visiable than the big black splotch on the nosecone on the classics version. (and on the Takara verison I have, it's practically hidden since it's blue and blends in with the colourscheme) And on the actual model in the game, that area is flat space, and so is the back of Starscream's head.

And the transformation is only simple because it doesn't need to be needlessly complex. Aside from maybe a panel to cover the head, there's nothing that they could improve upon. Everything is hidden and locks together like a rock. I'm glad it's simple and not super intricate with nothing locking or looking right like so many 2010 toys unfortunately suffered.

The Hasbro version is bound to pop up at the discount stores eventually. If I come across one, I could ship it, though, if you'd like.

I've since snagged the Takara version for a good price, so I don't need it anymore. But thanks for the offer! :D
