I picked up a KO second hand at our local action figure store.... he's a little loose, but I'm still pretty thrilled with him.

Likewise my gun barely fits in the hand, and I'll be building it up with multiple coats of nail polish to try and make it not so bad.

The wording on the back is also correct now (though no black rim around the headlights). For $30 with no box I really can't complain.

Maybe not the tightest figure, but damned if he doesn't look impressive! Always loved sideswipe, and this one fills the bill nicely.

When it comes to Hasui-era MPs/MP molds I stick to the official as they are better quality than the KOs. Post-Hasui then it is a different story.

I think it depends a little on luck with the KOs, too. I got my KO Lambor right when they first came out and the overall quality is on par with my Takara in some areas like plastic quality and tolerances and much better than the Takara with the paint. Doesn’t hold the gun as tightly but that’s more or less a non-issue for me.

My sideswipe arrived today but turns out it was the mp12+ I got sent still a ko I'm guessing as it only cost me £22, had some white paint splatter issues on back of car mode but scraped off mostly and front wheels where catching on side panels but hoping that was just misaligned in the box and I can fix it, bot mode is solid enough though holds gun no problem, shoulder cannon is a little loose but stays in place. Yeah, you paid £22 which is about the same as $28.73, about the normal price for a KO of an MP carbot. I'm guessing you wanted a KO of MP12 and not a KO of MP12+?

I just wanted a sideswipe either was fine, was just surprised + came as I thought I ordered mp12 but I double checked and seller did mark it as mp12+ so mistake was mine, apart from the colour what is the difference between them?

The color is pretty much the only difference IIRC.

Cool I was thinking about the repro labels from toyhax.com just for some detailing so good to know they will fit, shame they don't have mp12+ labels would include a Lamborghini badge no doubt :)

Crap I might have forced his gun hand too much, and now his gun won't stay in place. Anybody else got that problem and perhaps a solution?

    I can't have a left handed Sideswipe ;)

Use Future floor polish in the slot to thicken it. It should work.

You can also pick up the fully articulated MP Sideswipe hands that KFC makes. They're very good quality and holds the gun quite nicely.

I'll check out both... First to check for a European equivalent to Future Floor Polish ;)
