are you guys talking about black pieces being painted red and the black is slightly showing through making it look like a darker shade of red? every review of this figure i have seen has had this...you are not alone if that is what you are describing

 

I don't mind the size (just the price for its size) ...but I omg I want it! It's pre-ordered! Only thing I would have wished for is proper weapon storage. I really hate weapons that clip on up top or just ...don't go anywhere...I want my cars to be like tiny boxes on wheels with everything held inside. ...

Still totally want this O__O ...I have a broken Alternity Skywarp..Maybe his wheels are of a similar size, so I can swap 'em

Oh man. This didn't sell me on Sideswipe (I'll wait for the US version just like I waited on Alternator Sideswipe), but it DID sell me on Igear Not-Ratchet. Holy crap how that thing looks good...

I think T-Cracker's pics on page 19 are gonna push me over the edge on getting the igear van brothers. Great pics of Sideswipe, picking mine up tomorrow morning and can't wait to add him to the display. Really loving the direction of this line.

As far as the size/price issues for people, everyone has different thoughts on it, but I would much rather pay a premium for a figure I really want than buy retail stuff that clogs up my shelves at this point. Heck, I have purchased numerous tiny third party figures for $30-$40 each and never felt bad doing it. Really starting to re-evaluate where my collecting is going and trying to eliminate the clutter, and in search of quality over quantity at this point, and for me, though the price is steep, the quality seems to be there.

 

I think a lot of people were waiting for exactly those pictures to take the plunge on PP05.

I say do it. No regrets here.

 

Is it just me or is his chest a bit wide compared to the animation? Not a deal breaker for me but if I am trying to add up the pluses and minuses, especially for an $85 large deluxe/small Voyager, it's something I would want to know.

 

Robot Kingdom shipped mine out yesterday. I hope it shows up sometime this coming week. I can't wait to add this to the collection, but I'm also worried about the discoloration problems.

On a side note, I can't understand the feedback about him being so small and expensive. It should be common knowledge that the overall goal and 'gimmick' is to make all the MPs scale to each other. Hence the 'reboot' of Optimus. I also don't mind not having rubber tires because in countries that are hot and humid, there's a higher chance of them suffering 'splits'.

 

True, but many point to the inconsistent nature of scale in the show, so scale be damned, they want him bigger! You deck him out, make him bigger, and people will complain about the price. You really can't please the fanbase as a whole  .

 

First off, thanks for the pics, they look great. I agree with most of your comments. (based on pics- haven't gotten mine yet)

I did want to say that Revoltechs really aren't that posable without a stand. They're pretty hard to pose and keep balanced.

 

Just got him today. Really like his leg transformation. I do have one problem with him though in the sense that he is showing an FOC syndrome. If you look at him at certain angles, you notice that his body is really hollow. Mind you, this is THE SIDESWIPE, but body heft wise I like the Henkei one better.

 

it took me less than six months to loathe the universe/henkei one, the hollow legs, derpy head and shoulders, lack of detail on the car, and most of all the panel massage transformation, he can stay on my classics shelf, but like prowl, he's a garbage mold imo

 

I will be displaying mine with Alternity Cliffjumper and Bumblebee so these pics are excactly what I was waiting for. How does MP-12 look next to them in vehicle mode?
