    Cand-baticons?

I'll be buying these. They look good. Even with BaskinRobbins colors.

Onslaught and Brawl are the only passable ones because at least they're accurate. But the others remind me too much of some crayola drawing a 4 year old makes. Blech.

Very cool but I wished I had a set for myself in my collection for sure. Love the way you displayed them here though.

LOVE it! I can't wait to get my hands on them!

I especially love how Vortex's "color change" deal is very apparent on him. He's a red helicopter with purple details that turns into a purple bot with red details. <3

Mine came in today and I'm pretty happy with them overall; the colours aren't as lurid in person on most of them, with the exception of Vortex. He is really bright. I got these with the intention of painting them up like the rest of my WFC figures but honestly they're not that bad out of the box.

Swindle's shoulder issue is non-existent on mine, btw.

Could you please post a pic in the Energon formation? I'd liek to see what he looks like in his fullest homage potential.

    Right Arm: Swindle
    Left Arm: Blast-Off
    Right Leg: Vortex
    Left Leg: Brawl

Any chance of a pic with blue onslaught and SDCC limbs? Probably gonna pick him up for a more game accurate team, might pick up the others. Kind of want to get an extra Onslaught for a base for the genericon in Starscream's level.

I think the OP's camera is saturation is turned wayyyyy up and these look a tad brighter than they normally would.

Anyway, very interesting to see that slight paint differentiation. Looks like SDCC bought some additional paints apps.

Besides Vortex, they don't look as bad as they did before.

    I don't know.

They are damn bright. They actually look LESS bright here than some images I've seen, not to mention the eye-searing mock-ups I saw in person at BotCon.

Anyway, I'm starting to like Onslaught for his accurate bot-mode colors. I hate the green on his gun, that's all. I think Swindle is too bright, but might pick him up to have a yellow one. Then, I have the G2 set coming, which aside from its own merits has versions of Blast Off, Vortex, and Brawl that look much better in general.

So by just swapping out Onslaught and Swindle, I can get "traditional" Bruticus or full-on G2. Oh yeah, and I can swap out retail Onslaught's terrible green gun with the G2 one. Yay!

I'm liking these enough to try and pick them all up. but yeah, those are so day-glo. I really want to know what made Hasbro feel that bumping up the saturation on these would make them appealing?

    Good strategy.

I guess we'll know more about the colors when we see some better quality photos, though I agree that Vortex would prolly still look killer bright.

God, Vortex looks so awful. Just... just atrocious. The yellow blades make it look even worse.

Onslaught would be fine if only his gun wasn't green. But that is a killer...

Swindle looks okay. The bright yellow and purple work for him since the headsculpt bares a great resemblance to the Alternators version, and no other one.

Brawl is... definitely the worst version of Brawl, despite the fact they're all very similar.

Blast Off is the only one where the retail isn't my least favorite version. I'm considering picking one up, to tide me over before my G2 version arrives. Shame that he's got the worst limb mode, making doubling up not very appealing.

Meh. I only like Onslaught over the SDCC equivalent, the rest pale in comparison to their exclusive versions. Shame the SDCC one is so expensive.

Kids like bright things and shiny objects? Maybe it's to prevent people from losing them... :lolol
