Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, but I don't feel like setting up my camera:

Someone from another board noticed his TC has:
    1. Parts fall off easily: tail fin, null ray, even the whole wing falls off once.
    2. Jet mode, there's little gap in the pilot area, and on the connection of backbone with body.
    3. Something is a little weird about legs joints and connection to body, joints seem to twist a little bit when shorten legs into jet mode, then create some gap.

Does anyone else have this issue too?

    1. The right tailfin really doesn't want ot stay on, much worse than any of the MP-3 iterations. Null rays stay on as long as you transform them correctly and keep them out of the way during transformation. They are design to snap off to prevent breakge. The wing hinge has been re-designed to also snap off rather than break (like on MP-3). That said, it makes the wing joint looser and more difficult to pose the wings swept back in robot mode.

    2. Gap in cockpit frame is a bit wider than MP-3s I have, but may be due to sloppy parts fit from untrimmed sprues and excess plastic. The front windshield assembly can be unscrewed to check these, but i haven't done this yet. The airbrake assembly actually fits nicer and with less gaps than MP-3.

    3. No problems with legs in fighter mode, just need to make sure joints are straightened and other parts are properly aligned during transformation (as with MP-3).

I'm so glad we got a stand instead of the coronation kit.

    It's weird...

MP-11 only looks convincing to me as Starscream, whereas the MP-03 mold worked for everyone else.

Just got my Thundercracker, and I must say, he is a gorgeous toy! He's on display next to my MP03 Starscream. I think they look good together. The additional "Samurai" parts of MP03 make Starscream seem more pretentious and a true "Air Commander" rather than just another cookie-cutter seekerbot. Mine had several stress marks already in the plastic before opening the box, which I found disturbing, but otherwise looks great. Transformation is simple (by MP standards) and is very similar to the original G1 transformation.

My biggest complaint, honestly, is my TC refuses to be displayed on the stand in jet mode. the tab on the bottom of the jet will not snap into the stand, so TC will only sit precariously on the stand, and the slightest breeze will send him toppling over.

Overall, on a satisfaction scale, I give Thundercracker a solid 8 out of 10

The tattoos don't bother me for two reasons... 1) I display him in robot mode, so the tattoos are hidden mostly, and 2) the red shoulder stripe gives a nice touch to the design (IMHO).

The blue is much nicer than pictures made me think. It's a softer blue and fits the color of the G1 cartoon better.

aside from the ******ed paint apps (sonic boom, reflector, the names, and the sticker-style details on the intakes), the only complaints I have about mine is the small gap between the two parts of the jet's nose, and that the hinges the arms are attached to the body with aren't tight at all, so they sag a little in robot mode. Luckily you can use his outward shoulder joints to still make it look right.

I didn't read too far back, but did anyone else get the first mold's instructions with Thundercracker?

I just wanna throw in my 2 cents on this mold. HOLY CRAP! I have hasbro MP Skywarp and the new mold is so much better. The heels for one thing and the lack of the hip kibble is just plain awesome. I also love how they got rid of the extra bulk on the arms it just looks so much better worth every penny it costs.

I think that would be my honest recommendation for the hardcore collector that imports a lot of Takara MPs anyway.

For those value buyers like myself, it's a smarter idea to just grab the local cheaper version and de-tat this guy as necessary.

Lucky for me that I like the Sonic Boom logo and really am mostly bothered by the shoulder tats. Kinda torn on the g1-ish intake tampos. Very nice throwback but still just sort looks off.

Mine has first mold instructions. It seems like this was a really rushed release because even the pacakging seems off. No product shots and the generations packaging artwork. Figure is great though so i am happy.

Or play it safe and grab one/two of the Hasbro version simply to be a place holder until a Takara version comes out. That's what I'm going to do simply out of fear that Takara might not release their own version at all, or if they do, it possibly taking another year to happen.
