Wouldn't be the first time.

Megatron (G1)/toys - Transformers Wiki

Quote:
Megatron is misassembled in-package, with his feet swapped and attached backwards. Although not immediately noticeable due to the fact that promotional and box-art photography also show this misassembly, any attempt to transform Megatron into tank mode immediately demonstrates the mistake, which is easily corrected by unscrewing his lower legs, reversing the foot pieces, and attaching each to the opposite leg

Ok we have some cell phone pictures (In other words bad lol)
You can see the tabs still there.

The back piece all the way down

One more all the way down

I dont have any pics of the mod it's self. When u take the back off you will notice the back piece is not sitting all the way up. All u do is open the back put the head in it proper bot position. The piece that slides should be all the way up when you close it.

To provide an annendum to that, I went and performed that surgery on both a modded and unmodded Vehicon.

It improved how far back I can move it on the modded one, for sure. You can get the best results if you do that adjustment AND lop off the tabs.

I can vouch for this. I cut the tabs off of mine and it goes down almost all the way, like the regular vehicon. I'm sure if I did a little cutting with the dremel on the support struts of the back piece I could get it to keep flush just like the car Vehicon, but I don't think I really need to do that.

This figure is AWESOME!

I've had mine since yesterday, and remembered that I had to post about it here, lol. Special thanks to Robogeek28 for giving me info for RobotKingdom. I will definitely order from them again.

The figure itself is much bulkier looking compared to the regular Prime RID vehicon (the wings do this of course). I actually like the Jet Vehicon over the regular Vehcion...which was my old #1 Decepticon. Now #1 and #2 are being held by Vehicons. lol I also like how the weapon gives an almost snipers rifle look about it.

The animal form is meh at best. If the "tail/barrel" collapsed in just a bit, then it would have made a much better animal form. Now, it just has a very long tail. Making the weapon was fun, although I didn't bother with the stickers. I might in the future.

I will also attempt to make the back plate go lower, and to add the Decepticon logo on the chest (by removing the cover). It seems like the modding is very easy, and if I can do this...then anyone can. lol

This is definitely worth the extra money to buy as an imported item. Even if (and I'm guessing that this is a huge if) the U.S. gets the figure some day...it won't have the larger weapon, and it might end up with bad paint apps, or even cheaper plastic. For some reason, this figure seemed more sturdy compared to the Prime Vehicon. Now, once I get the FE Vehicon, he will probably be the strongest in terms of plastic usage.

If you're on the fence with this guy, I say buy him now! You won't regret it. I believe that RobotKingdom is still the cheapest, unless another site has more stock? Most places were out of stock when I placed my order.

I did the same thing. Much better once it was fixed.

A great fig, even better than the regular US release. One of the best TFs in ages, with a really fantastic alt mode. Tempted to get rid of the wings in order to have a sort of space over car thingy. Wish I could have afforded two!

I've got 8 of the 9 Jet Vehicons I ordered in hand and have them all stickered up, including the Decepticon emblem under glass mod to the chest. Normally, the more you do a thing, you'd think you'd improve at it? Not me. The last three Vehicons I worked on, their chest window all suffered stress or cracking on one side of the window or the other.

I was all hyped to go back to my AM car Vehicons and give them their sigils under window, but now I'm not so sure.
