Man, the things people come up with! Any confirmation on who those wheels came from? It makes this bot even more must have.

I'd like to know as well because Hardtop's wheels seem to come in 2 different sizes. I think in this picture the front wheels are shown to be bigger but I'm not 100% sure because of the angle:

I have no idea where my Hardtop is to compare. But it looks like the back wheels in that picture have more "spokes" than the front wheels.

This fan-mode would be an easy base for a third-party kit, since it seems to be popular and a lot of people are going to want to try it. Easy pop-on wheels and maybe a c-clip adapter for the sword or another weapon or something to fill the figure out some.

Those, my friend, are wheels from Transformers Sidearm Sideswipe.

Is it an extensive custom or just gluing on the wheels? I absolutely love it.

Well, that's pretty much the coolest unofficial third mode ever.

Just looked over Google Translate's version of the link but I can't see if there's a reference to how they did it in there. I saw the bit about it being wheels from the Sideswipe mold - anyone know how they were connected?

It looks like they just snap into place in the different modes - seems like they move if you look at where the knees are on the figure - but it's hard to tell without the figure in hand to see how they did it.

I have no qualms about taking apart a movieverse figure to make it happen. :)

    That would be even better!

The front wheels appear to just click onto the ends of the missile launchers. The back ones, however, have some sort of strange specialized connector. They clip in in a concerningly unstable position in robot mode, however.

Pass. I don't like how thin the legs look and some attributes of HFTD Tomahawk were left over.

Got mine today and of all the Asia GDO's it's my favourite. The colours are beautiful and the thing just screams SPRINGER. Given that in the toon his alt mode was Cybertronian I guess the quasi-movie aesthetic is kinda fitting. It's only the legs anyway.

Great effort at Classics Springer. My only two complaints about it are that the head looks a little high, and the sword is too short.

If Sidearm Sideswipe is hard to come by, someone should just make some custom wheels and sell them on shapeways.

Man this was already on my must -have list. But seeing it w Sideswipes wheels, OH HELL YES!!!

Good to know that pathetic pile of crap Sidearm Sideswipe is useful for something other than looking utterly terrible.
