I guess no one has commented on the recent release for this figure (non-SDCC), so I'll go ahead and do it.

Sure, mine doesn't have the fancy box...or the dark energon addition pieces, but the figure is very cool. I was going into this choice with a "Meh," while being very excited for the Vehicon...and it ended up being the opposite. This figure is awesome, while the Vehicon ended being "Meh."

The transformation is way superior compared to the Prime RID version. The pegs/slots fit together firmly, and there were no loose joints or stress marks to be seen (unlike other current First Edition figures). Overall, this figure is the best in terms of QC...since I couldn't find a single issue with him. I'd rate Terrorcon Cliffjumper a 9.25/10. Only losing points since I could never get the car 100% locked in. You would press on one spot, causing one area to get slightly unaligned...and then you fix that and the previous spot is unaligned. o_0

I was Transforming AM Terrorcon Cliffjumper and FE Cliffjumper and despite having done both a dozen times I "FINALLY" figured out why I was unable to peg them together properly in vehicle mode.

I thought i'd share in case anyone else was having the same problem. the problem I had was I was not pressing the hood of the car back far enough under the windshield and this then allows his folded ankle kibble hinge to lock into the gap between the crotch hinge - I didn't even realize that the two squarish panels on the underside (the ones with a nail headed pin in them) actually fitted in that slot.

Now I have realised that the cars lock together perfectly - which is wonderful surprise and immediately raises all the related toys in my estimation a couple of points.

If I am not explaining myself properly then I can take some photos.

While I've always been reasonably sure I'm doing what you are describing, I've always felt like the alt mode on this guy is barely holding together, so now I am not sure. What I'm saying is, if you can post pix so I can verify my own sanity that would be awesome. :)

I think that I understand what you're saying...but like OCProwl, pictures would definitely make the steps easier. :)  Will try later on today with your text instructions. I still love this figure though.
