AM-12 Breakdown Pictoral Review

I couldn't find a thread for Breakdown yet, and he definitely deserves one, so, let's get things started. This is my first review and also first post here, so bear with me.

Starting off with Vehicle Mode:

Pretty Straightforward. He's a big hummer-esque SUV- possibly an Armet Balkan.
quick view from the back

I painted mine instead of using his stickers, but presumably someone else will post pics in the future. As a general rule of thumb though, if it's not on his face and it's not the original plastic, I painted it.

Transforming him is fairly simple, but can be kind of tricky due to how complex his shoulder jointing is, and how stiff his elbows might be. I realize I probably should've shown how to turn him into the SUV since he arrives in robot mode, but I've lost my primary light source now.

You start by flipping the back of the vehicle up

Pop the sides out of their tabs at the back

And then unfold the legs out

Fold out his feet, and the big side panel folds behind the lower leg

It'll look like this on the inside of the leg

Rotate his waist so that the front is facing away from the vehicle-back

Pop the front windows apart and then do the same to the front bumper

Swing those sides forward

Fold the grill down

Flip his arms around

There's actually some circuitry detailing inside his chest. Almost done!

Fold his back up; there's a little slot it pegs into.

Slide the chest apart

And fold all that down to finish!

Some general pics

I did use stickers on his Rhino-hammer. Stickers might not be the best-looking option for a finished TF figure, but they are very fun to apply.

You can put the hammer in his hand like so....

Or you can flip his arm back around and peg it into the other end, which looks much more show-accurate

Breakdown also scales excellently with Knockout (in vehicle mode as well, but I forgot to take a picture)

And then takes it a step further by scaling well with the entire TFP Decepticon crew, if you are using FE Starscream.

Granted, I don't have Airachnid or Dead End, but for your core team, you're pretty much set.

Overall, I heartily recommend him. He really needs to see a stateside release and is up there with the First edition figures in terms of overall appearance and engineering. Some of his posability is a bit hampered due to his arm kibble, and mine's hip joints are a bit loose, but I'm really happy with him.
Hope you enjoyed!

If you have Cyberverse legion breakdown, can you post a pic of how it looks with his weapon on voyagers breakdown's shoulder peg hole? Thanks.

Unfortunately, while I do have legion Breakdown, I have no idea where his weapon has gotten to. Hopefully someone else will be able to supply this, sorry!

I would love to see this guy next to FE Bulkhead. Such a great looking toy. Shame I probably will pass.

The peg on the Cyberverse weapon is not big enough.

Great review! I really wish somebody would post pictures of him without the stickers though...

If no one posts this over the weekend, I have a friend with an FE Bulkhead that I can borrow for this, so I'll try to get you a shot!

This one is stickerless, but I do get what you mean. I only took a few shots of him before I began painting and only one came out well, so here's that:
