Oh totally. In my opinion, the two of em are barely even comparable at this point, and its sad because the really blocky design could've been done so much better with more textures a higher piece count. Heck, even with the bottom half of his chest being sunken a little more & cast in a darker could would've moved this up a tier or few, and I'm sure something else could have been possible with the arms without losing how the alt mode turns out. Actually, the most this toy has done for me is make my like the WFC version even more, almost to the point of make me wanna pick it up now. Here's to one of the Kelowna Winners having one haha.

On the flip side though, my dislike for this figure is almost strong enough to make me wanna play around with on that principle at all, as its something I feel I'd pay attention to a lot more than stuff that I'm on the fence on, but without wanting to put any of my money toward because unlike Airachnid that everyone hates, I really don't see myself being able to turn this guy around with a couple of simple fixes. Maybe it could work toward a Motormaster custom that integrates a trailer into the bot mode, but that's probably a stretch in itself.

In closing? I think the style works for its fiction & I can always appreciate a toy being different from its previous incarnation, but I'm really just not feeling how it turned out.
