Just grabbed this older repaint of the Beast Machines mold, as I am on a Spiderbot kick and I vastly prefer this color scheme to the original. Such a fantastic mold, and what a shame that a 12 year old toy puts the current Airachnid figure to utter shame. I always liked how the legs on this figure transformed, I just wish the gimmick with her fangs worked a bit better on my toy. I really need to drag it out of storage now.
Gorgeous shots. Only thing I don't care for about this figure is that she (the Universe version at least) was the product of a time when every other Transformer was blue and orange. Other than that, she's great. Plus: booty for days.
Wow great pics. Also kicking myself for never grabbing the TFA version too, she looks great. Things are just... great.
Even if you don't get lucky like that, there's plenty of people selling her online, and if the colours don't grab you, there's always the original purple/black/gold one. Pretty sure there's at least one other repaint, but its likely a pricier one.
Well you've technically got four options. Beast Machines: Purple and Baby-poop-Green Universe: Pictured in this thread Universe Crystal Widow: Different character, but basically same colors. A little darker. Beast Wars Returns: TRU Japan exclusive variant; Pink and Copper/Green I say technically four because the BWR version, like all BWR toys is hell of difficult to come across and are usually quite expensive.
Same here. It's always been by absolute favorite version of the character. I usually display her (BM version) with her feet aimed downward and propped against another figure, giving her the show-accurate impossible legs. My favorite feature has got to be the headband and lightpiping for the eyes. Lift the headband up and shine a light behind the head and it's six lit-up eyes for the win! I'm not fond of the colors on this version and prefer the original, but the pictures are very striking!
