I've noticed the striping is completely different than what was shown on the promo pics (those were obviously handpainted). Faction symbol placement is different too.

I can see how Hasbro is targeting this more for the kids.
It's an easy pass for me though.

That looks real bad. I was already going to pass on this but this further convinces me that it is definitely a pass.

I've loved most of the Prime stuff so far, but like so many others, I'm not feeling these leader figures. Perhaps as a clearance purchase, but the last time I said that was that big ass Optimus from Animated, and couldn't even get myself to buy one at clearance for $20.

Prices going higher and higher while the quality and engineering are getting worse and worse just isn't a good combination. I'm even getting more skittish about the FOC figures the more I see them.

I rolled with the changes made for the main DOTM line because the prices were lower or the same. But I won't roll with those same changes and higher prices. I'm not going to sit here and eventually pay $8-$9 for legion, $10-$12 for Cyberverse and so on, because it doesn't seem like very long before that's what it's gonna be.

Take Marvel Universe....half the figure at the same price as the old ones. Hasbro is going to try to steer Transformers down the same road eventually.

engineering aside im im finding hasbro/takaras mainline tf's are looking cheaper each year, that pale looking plastic and lack of apps makes it look unappealing.
