This is a mold which many classic line collectors are familiar with, so I am not going to touch on the mold itself but this review will be mainly comparing with the similar SDCC Nemesis Prime. My Junkion Feedback Before comparison, here are some pictures of the United Black OP in both vehicle and robot mode: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For comparison purpose, the left is the United Black OP and the right is the SDCC Nemesis Prime. Here are some comparison pictures in vehicle mode: ![]() ![]() ![]() And comparison in robot mode: ![]() ![]() ![]() The main obvious difference between these two is the colour of the windows, for the United Black OP, the colour is red while it is blue on the SDCC Nemesis Prime. Also, the light piping of the head of the United OP is obviously red as well but the thing to note about the SDCC Nemesis Prime is that while the light piping on the head is blue, the eyes are actually painted red... Other subtle differences will the stripe patterns on the wind vane, the body of the truck itself in vehicle mode and the insignia. United Black OP does not have decepticon symbol in vehicle mode whereas the SDCC Nemesis Prime has one on his left side. And in robot mode, United Black OP has symbols on both shoulders whereas SDCC Nemesis Prime only has it on one shoulder. Basically if you have a Henkei Classic OP, you will find that this United Black OP has stripes, symbols that are consistent with it. Also, the handgun is mainly silver in colour whereas the SDCC Nemesis Prime's is all black. United Black OP, features very much darker grey on the thighs and his shin are black in colour as well, unlike the SDCC Nemesis Prime where his shin are midnight grey in colour. Hence overall, physically you can see that United Black OP is a very much darker prime. And here are more pictures and group shots with SDCC Nemesis Prime(s): ![]() ![]() ![]() And also group shots with Henkei OP where you can see the consistency in paint apps patterns etc: ![]() ![]() And with some other accessories and upgrades like the BTS trailer and Fansproject Shadow Commander: ![]() ![]() This pic is to highlight that the Fansproject Shadow Commander still match the SDCC Nemesis Prime better due to some portions of it using midnight grey which is consistent with the legs of SDCC Nemesis Prime: ![]() Overall, I love this figure and I love this mold. The red used on the windows and light piping on the head works for me. As a classic line collector, I find this piece to be a great addition to the collection despite having multiple figures with the same mold already. Hence, I do recommend this figure and for some reasons, the United black OP and Henkei OP tabs on well for me in vehicle mode but no so on two of my SDCC Nemesis Primes, hence I am not too sure if it is just my SDCC figures or it does known to have this problem. |
