What I don't get is Octopunch is mentioned on another Decepticon's tech spec, but Octo is supposedly to be a SG Decepticon. Huh?

I'm slapping a Reprolabel on him and working him into my Classics Decepticon shelf. Not my favorite exclusive by far, but worth keeping around...

Well if you haven't sold it already I wouldn't mind paying 30 dollars for it. PM me if you are interested.

    The ducks.... :D

I love this mold regardless....just like Tomahawk's mold for Spinister. They are odd and strange, but still nice at the same time. Not to shabby.

1: I love the hftd Seaspray mold,
2: I'm not paying secondary market prices for him, got him at the con
3; I'm always up for more Pretender homages.
4: it's really easy to just pretend this dude is a CHUGUR Octopunch

4 factors in, I love this guy. But I may be biased cuz this was my first botcon/botcon exclusive set

This was explained in the original Shattered Glass comic from Botcon 2008. It's because in SG, Megatron invented the technology to transform.

And I'm guessing that the Autobots stole the technology and were able to transform just like what the Decepticons did in G1

Just bought this guy from a UK based EBay seller, but have a question for people about something for it.

I want to add a trident to him, but don't want to have to buy another DOTM Space Case or Terradive to get it. Does anyone know of any other sutibly sized tridents? If I have to buy a McFarlane or MOTU toy I don't mind, I just hate buying Transformers just for their accesories.

I wanna find an octopus toy with either solid rubber or plastic tentacles and nip them off, stick from on some ball-jointed C-Clip joints; thinking harvesting those from a couple HA basic Backfires. Then I can attach them to the c-clip bars on Octopunch's shoulders and he'll be beautiful.

I wound up with him through happenstance while acquiring some other Botcon exclusives, but this guy has really grown on me. Shattered Glass be damned.

I have dug him from the first pics. Would have liked to see him with a different head but still he is a great use of a pretty nifty mold.

Plus the scene of him and himself in the comic made him even more awesome. Now to figure out exactly where I can fit him in on my shelves since these are the only SG I own are this years.

EDIT: To the above comment, which figure you mean? I looked at Backfire but didn't see the tentacles. You mean the dreads perhaps? Just asking cause now you got me intrigued as to doing this.

From Backfire, I'm simply talking about the c-clip joints on his assault rifles, since they're just simple ball joints. Then attaching those to some tentacles.

HFTD Terradive also had that trident, but in different colors. He's probably easier to find that Space Case, but the one specifically pictured in the first post is Space Case's. There'll also be a 3rd one with next year's Club freebie Depth Charge

    Alright dude.

I agreed 100% in your 1st post. Looks pretty MEH. But your second pick with it in your "crab" mode...

    OK..Get this

Go get you one of those cheap rubber Octopi I see at toy sections, Cut them legs down, Dry brush Matching baby blue on those legs.

Take the legs, and get some Clips from DOTM stuff, and drill out the legs, and clamp on the c-lips to the "crab mode"

I know that would be 6 legs, so either use the front two, or fold them Under, same way you got em, and just swing em under, and use the front Clips hold 2 of the legs.

Mabye even mount then somehow to where they look like a CAPE in Bot' mode..

    There you go.

If I had that thing, Thats EXACTLY what Id' do..And it would look F'n Kick ass.
