I agree. I dont know why, but the whole plane with arms and legs thing tickles my geek mojo..I used to play battletech BIG time back in the day..LAM's were my fav

And this one pulls it off like nothing ive seen since a robotech toy, or G1 Jetfire.

I am in the process of getting extra rocket pods and missiles from 72 scale models to mount a pin to to hang under the wings.

Yeah, he has a perfect Macross Zero aesthetic in alt mode, and is very Macross 7 in bot mode. I don't think the voyager mold will have the same effect, due to the voyager's shorter nose, but maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong, and it'll be just as awesome. Best Macross-style transformer since Takatoku Jetfire.

There are many 1/144 scale aircraft models with underwing stores that would be in approximate scale to Cyberverse Dreadwing. Or, do what I did and use two of Guzzle's rocket pods. Turns out, not only do they look good in plane mode, but they tuck into the torso in bot mode to fill in the torso gap!

I would probably buy a Jetfire repaint, not going to lie.

I'm a sucker for jetformers and I like this mold enough where I would likely buy any and every repaint they care to put out.

I found one, only one. I felt a little bad buying him (and elated). He is excellent, but a lot lighter than Megs and Starscream. If they repaint him, I'll probably be interested. His transformation is really neat even with the undercarriage (which is not so bad) he remains sleek.

Yeah he reminds me a little of the Cyberjets: Hooligan was my favorite. I hope Dread gets a random Skyfire repaint.

I decided I'm going to get another Dreadwing and resculpt their heads, and give them new paint jobs. Gonna go for this, here. Macross fans will know what I'm talking about!

This is how I have him posed with both hands on the gun.

    I do that too. It's pretty show-accurate.

    Hi guys,

To anyone who owns Dreadwing already, how well does his nose cone/canopy section sit together in robot mode?

I love Jetformers but my biggest pet hate is when the nose cone flips up from a chest piece and just rests against the main body of the jet. if the joint is loose, the nose just ends up drooping down and looking ridiculous. I had that issue with Animated Blitzwing, DOTM deluxe Starscream and several others. So does this section clip, or lock or anything, or just friction hold in place?

They lock in place. The only parts that tend to move are the shoulder panel mounts, but that isn't all that bad.

It locks via a friction clip pretty well. No problems here.

Mine has issues with the feet/toes while in plane mode. It seems one needs to go over the other. Its not flush and looks a little goofy. That's my only flaw with him.

I have to align them justright, but it works.

    Your sig is commendable.

Maybe I just need to tinker with them more. One leg doesn't peg in right due to the other one taking up part of its space.

    And thanks

I picked up two, and one of them had the exact same problem. It takes some tinkering, but they do actually line up with some effort.

It's funny how the instructions have the arms transformed both wrong (with the forearms pegged under the wings) and right (alongside the legs) in jet mode.
