Side profile pic comparison pretty much speaks for itself.

(Does not mean many including myself won't be OK with this release to save the money, but that doesn't negate the issues this mold has when viewed from any angle other than front dead on.)

I'm so hugging my FE Bulkhead now. RiD Bulkhead is just... wrong, in many ways. CGI Bulkhead is a fat, roundish strong guy. FE got it right, mostly. RiD turned him into Johnny Bravo.

 

Deluxe Megatron was a FE mold no? Plus that isn't part of the AM line is it?

My point is that no "Arms Micron" releases have skipped the US - they Am releases all follow mainline PRiD toy designs.

Ugh...I'll probably wait to see other pictures and reviews before I decide whether I want this BH or just decide not to get him all together.

Three things throw me off:

1.) The size. The vehicle mode is the same size as the FE version, but the robot mode looks like it's an inch and a half shorter.

2.) The head doesn't look anywhere near as good as the FE's does. It looks too long and the eyes are almost non-existent.

3.) The profile of the torso is terrible-looking when compared to the FE. While the latter's proportions looked round and solid like Bulkhead should look, this looks hollow from the sides and makes him look too blockish.

It just makes me even sadder that the First Edition voyagers never saw the light of day in most areas and are going for such big money. I'd much rather have that Bulkhead in this case...

 

Yes it was. The AM Megatron currently out right now is a modified FE Deluxe Megatron.

I think Cheebs was being snarky, because the FE mold didn't make it to the states.

 

That last photo with Bulk and JAck is awesome!   thanks for the gallery! You really have a great collection!   I am not a big fan of the Bulkhead toy but this one sure looks good.

 

Ah, it looks alright.

I'd rather only pay rrp for this than the ridiculous overpricing on the FE, since it's mainly going to be sat on a shelf collecting dust (and partially obscured by at least one figure from later down the line when the shelf gets a bit busier).

 

I Own Deluxe Megatron AM Version, he exists, though he is very disappointing mainly because of the crappy minicon that doesnt attach to his arm.

 

The robot kingdom news post, and i think they mean the micron itself and that version of the mold is exclusive

Yeah, there's no comparison between the FE and this.

Seeing shot after shot of PRiD Bulkhead's front over the past few weeks, I had kind of started to get used to the idea of being stuck with this version, but then we see shots here of robot mode from the side and back, and I get angry all over again. This is a poor substitute for the FE Bulkhead.

 

Ok, fair enough Dlx Megs and terrocon cliffy when he drops will be non-US released molds in teh AM line.

I just can't see any other non-FE molds hitting Japan and not the US.

I thought he looked terrible at Toy Fair, and I'm glad nothing has changed. This goes beyond FE vs. RID comparisons. He just looks nothing like Bulkhead. He looks like some cheap knock off of the character. Sometimes I make exceptions for my rule of screen accuracy if the inaccuracy makes for a better toy(like FE Arcee), but in this case it's like Hasbro didn't even really try.

If I never got my Takara FE, then I'd just settle for the Cyberverse version. You couldn't pay me to own this one.

 

Hard to say, but the way the rest of the Prime line has been handled anything is on the table because common sense is out. I wouldnt be surprised if there are a few Jap Only releases of figures that wont make it here that will be quite sweet.

no, it seems like the ones who paid X amount of jacksons are the ones the voicing out there dislike about PRID BH...its not 100% perfect yes, which figure is? I would like to have a FE but hey im not dropping X amount to get one figure when I can get a fairly reasonable alternate BH, hmmm....perhaps 2 BH's and a couple of Voyager starscreams while im add it for the same price of one FE BH...thats just me...great for all those that got the FE though...
