Well... FE Bulkhead is the absolute scientific limit for how awesome of a toy you can sell for $20, so by definition this new guy had to be at least be a little worse...

...but not that much worse! Uhg!

Yeah, I'm hugging my FE right now, too.

Have the people saying that this figure compares well to the First Edition just gone into denial upon the realization they missed the chance to get him on ebay for a reasonable price?

Seriously people, this figure looks uber bad, even if the FE DIDN'T exist.

It's not that bad looking. Better than I expected anyway.

I'll buy it, and be happy with it too. After all, it's just a toy at the end of the day. I might try and figure out a way to separate the wrecking ball from the rest of that, whatever that is.

Not bad as a toy, but not ... for lack of better terminology ... right.

I'd definitely change the head & repaint this something other green, though.

I think he looks very decent! Very serviceable, even if it doesn't reach the near perfection of FE standards. He'll be the Bulkhead of my Prime Autobots!

I love the look of the figure, but not as Bulkhead. (+one more Takara FE Bulky hugger)
Here is hoping that there will be a drastic repaint with a new head down the line, then I will buy the figure for sure.

To add this, even if the FE did not exist, I would still pass on this because the Cyberverse Commander looks better then it.

I'm really torn on this guy. I wanted to wait and see in-person pictures before completely dismissing him, but now, I'm not seeing much on an improvement over the stock photos. In my opinion, it has enough chunk to be considered Bulkhead, but fails to capture the shape and roundness of the character. While it is an alternative to dropping $100+ on the FE, I don't feel much incentive to spend $20 on this version. Cyberverse Bulkhead will have to do in the mean time.

Yeah, and if you have at least one other little guy to pose with him, you can still have your complete cast. Bulky will just... be on another mission the entire time :)

I was thinking yesterday that Bulky might not have turned out that bad but you're right, that side shot is, just, well....yeah, it's not good.

Ok, fair's fair, he looks OK from the front and pretty good in alt mode sans wrecking lump. But ANYTHING other than a straight on, zero angle zero incline, look at this guy and it all falls apart.

I'm kinda sad actually as I was just coming around to thinking I grab him. I think I could mod the wrecking ball to be serviceable - ditch the spring and dremel off the battery pack and good to go.

Yea he isnt as bad as I thought at the beginning but still love my FE one way better. I may pick this up just for the alt mode.

I don't have the FE, so this will do. But Ihave to admit, FE is way better. But for me, this is serviceable.

The head sculpt is what really bothers me. And that side picture.

Oh well, I'm not going to hate on this thing until I own it. I have learned my lesson after RID Bumblebee. And I don't have too much choice since I don't own the FE...

Huh. That's actually not too bad of a figure. Yeah, the First Edition is pretty much the perfect toy of the character, but I'll probably go ahead and get this one sometime.

I think he looks pretty good. I mean, yeah, the other one is nicer, but I think people are being way too dramatic here about how "bad" it looks. I think it captures the character perfectly, and to be honest, I'd rather pick this guy up for $20 than pay $100 for the FE one, but that's just me

I just dont get the reasoning behind what Takara/Hasbro have done. We have a great FE Prime then get a second Prime that isnt as good. We get the same with Bulkhead, a great FE edition and now this one. While still ok, isnt nearly as good as the FE.

Why spend the money to develop a second mold that doesnt measure up to the first? I could see a second mold to improve an existing mold, but to go the other way around is fucking stupid. I would like to p/u some of the Prime toys and I really want the FE molds, but will probably have to settle for what we are getting offered now. And that is a shame and a true waste of money to develop second, lesser molds that Tak/Has could have used to give us something else instead.
