That's when you step back and wait for more galleries and a couple of vid reviews and have him in hand at the store. Need to let LOTS of sources of info seep in because their is a lot of heated first reactions flying about.

That's my plan anyway. Who knows, he might be fun like rid Prime or he might suck. It's early stil IMHO.

The only things that really bother me are his powerizer weapon and his odd look from the side. I think he looks fine from the front. The head sculpt looks better than the FE one, specifically the eyes.

Oh man I cannot wait to get my hands on this figure. I'm pretty sure he'll look a little better with some more paint on him. :D

Hopefully you don't mind, but I did some image editing to show people what I'm talking about by the posture, and the awkward position of the translucent bit that you mentioned.

I just took your original image and rotated the torso, then rotated the head and the neck plate (the translucent bit).

I know some people that were wondering how it looked standing up straight, and I actually think it doesn't look bad... But I know the head not looking up would bug me.

Thanks again for the review, and hopefully you don't mind the image edit. :)

Wow!!! You work in Pixar Studio or something? That is excellent image editing, I don't mind it at all and you have interpreted my explanation correctly.

There are many comments on the side profile of this powerizer Bulkhead, so now let me try to post another side profile picture of him to see if it will help to redeem this bulkhead, maybe a "criminal style" side profile with the head looking forward.

I tried to adjust his legs, make it more straight so that he may adopt a better posture on the side profile.

This figure really doesn't look that bad to me in hand, at least in my opinion and to myself. How often do we display our transformers toys by the side profile? There are tons of other figures around with worse side profiles that I have seen. It is a fun toy to have, I'll probably fiddle around with this guy more than my FE Bulkhead.

While the First Edition may be the better Bulkhead toy, I still think this looks like a nice figure. If a repaint of some sort comes along, I'll probably pick one up. I'm seriously enjoying the mold itself. Just not as Bulkhead.

Also, did the shoulder pads end up black because they were attempting to follow the animation? Because they certainly appear to either be darker, or always cast in shadow, on the show.

Wow, that looks tons better. Even though I actually liked the figure (it looks like a fun toy once in hand), I was a bit worried that I was going to have to mod his waist to fix his posture, but with your pics, I guess I'm not going to need to. Thanks. :D

Great!!! Hasbro has finally released something new for the nerds who live with their moms to complain about incessantly..lol:p  Simply put...if you don't like it don't buy it. IMO this is a much better figure than most of the DOTM junk that was put into stores last year. Honestly how many of y'all bought the way overpriced "movie trilogy" prime? Now that's what I call a huge waste of plastic. Sure he comes with a trailer but so what...it only opens from the side....I'll pass. I may pick this Bulkhead up if only to add to my Prime line.

Now all it needs is the wings to rotate to put the wheels up by the shoulders.

It's not a bad figure, but it's definitely not as good as the FE. I have the FE Bulkhead. I'll try to post some comparison pics
Note the fake wheels on the outside in Bot mode. Looks like it needs some black paint

Very nice pics. Honestly, these pics actually make him look a bit better. You may not be able to sway everyone, but I honestly believe some people may change their minds after this.

Looking at both sets of pics in both reviews, i'd give this mold a 6.5 out of 10. Not the worst mold i've seen (not even the worst RID figure i've seen), but a downgrade from the FE for sure.

Also it looks like you've mistransformed him in vehicle mode. The grey piece that goes over the bumper in robot mode tucks away in vehicle mode.

I didn't notice this till you pointed it out, the instructions on the box ends with that grey flap over the bumper, unlike the picture on the box.

There's no peg to plug in that grey flap under the vehicle. However, if you flip it up , it sort of pegs into the bumper
