Just got him. Holy moly, he's sweet. I didn't think I was going to like him as much as the FE Deluxe, but they're actually about equal now that I've played with both of them. Voyager is more stable, has single missiles, decent mechtech (once the spring is removed), slightly better articulation, and a sleeker (in my opinion) jet mode. FE has missile clusters (which I actually like more than the singles, inaccuracy and all), better chest (though it's visible in alt mode), and a supremely elegant transformation that I just can't get enough of.
I guess I'm feeling like Spencer Tracy at the end of Inherit the Wind; I'll take 'em both!

My biggest problem with this guy: While the jet mode is awesome, his robot mode far surpasses it. I almost never have this guy in jet mode, which is a shame because I really like it.

    Ebay:
Picked up my SS yesterday, and of course the first thing I wanted to do out of the package was paint the head crest. Not sure what it was, maybe my hand just was not as steady as when I paint the FE, but I just could not get it right. I did discover how easy it was to take the head apart and remove the crest to paint though.

Well there's your problem. For the best results, you should be using crushed beetles.

So I just found on of these gus today, and my waist joint literally pops out when I just look at him. Any ideas on what piece of extra plastic down there to try and cut? I'm having a hard time figuring out which part is causing the problem. I literally can hold the figure parallel to the ground (with the back facing the ground.) push the waist down and watch it pop right out of its place.

I'd hate to have to try and exchange him given his shortpacked nature so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd just shave away the plastic keeping it from going down all the way and then tighten the joint. That joint allows Screamer to have some sexy poses.

Before I posted I already shaved down two places that I was pretty sure was causing the issue, but neither helped. I really like the figure otherwise, but I just wanted to see if anyone else encountered this and could describe which piece is actually causing the problem because I'm stumped about it. (Although I'm sure I'll feel like an idiot after the part is pointed out.)
