Like Sol, I passed on the Bumblebee, so this was my first experience with this mold as well. The only real complaint I have with it is the automorph for the neckplate. I had to fiddle with mine before I could get it to sit flush. I'm not a huge fan of the weapons, but they're ok. The rest of Hot Shot really makes up for the shortcomings. I really wished that the whole figure had been painted with that coat of blue that's on the roof - it's really super slick (it's got a tiny bit of metal flake in it). The head rocks, and I really like all of the colors. I wish that this guy had been used instead of Bumblebee in the show. |

Shop smart, Shop S-Mart.Regarding the deco - it is really great. And like SQ7 says, that shade of blue on the roof is pure win. Head sculpt is also very nice and he looks great. All that said though, I hate hate hate the shoulders. The head plate will not the best is miles better than what is happening with the shoulders. Anyway, I've been on a bit of a drought and all those Bee's were starting to wear me down, but after hands on with HS my resolve has been strengthened. .Unlike a lot of people, I DID actually buy Bumblebee (figured I could help clear the shelves of at least one BB, and I figured It'd work as a good test drive for the mold). And Hot Shot is indeed a perfect example of a repaint done right. This is a really fun mold, and I'm glad other people have a reason to get it now. | |
