You can't have just 1 Vehicon in your collection right?  

 

Anyone else feel like Hasbro dropped the ball here? I'm supposed to enjoy the RID figures while also crying about not having the FE figures. What am I supposed to do now if I find one of these and actually feel really satisfied with it?

Seriously though, 1) They did a great job on this. 2) Even if I am satisfied, of course I'll still wish I had the original. But, I'm glad it looks like I won't feel like I got the short end of the stick, not that I haven't enjoyed all of RID to some degree so far.

What I find perhaps most impressive is the way they tackled the smaller size and made the best of it with a clever transformation. Some of the more recent deluxes have had success with this in different areas. Even though cut-backs are a real drag, I love seeing that it can inspire some clever solutions. Stuff like this makes me feel like the 2013 Generations may not feel as limited as I'm afraid of.

 

It's funny that you say smaller size. This Vehicon is actually taller than the FE.

 

Well, I suppose we could whine about there being a lot less paint in alt mode?

But yeah, this guy looks awesome and I'll be psyched if I can actually find one on the shelves. (Not paying BBTS markup)

I'm definately gonna pick up at least one of these guys, maybe two, depending on where i can get them from, and how much they'll be. I really like how they solved the kibble issue from the FE version.

Seriously people, I know it is an awesome looking figure and we all want multiples, but with only 1 to a case and stores already saturated with swarms of Bees and Cliffjumpers these guys are going to be seriously hard to find unless Hasbro puts a LOT more of them in future waves.

So for all those people going on about buying multiples, can you try and hold off on that and focus on getting one of these into the hands of every collector (or God forbid, kids  ) first? After that go crazy and build the army of your dreams, but until then show some restraint and consideration for the rest of the collector community.

Prepare to be yelled at or ignored. This is rabid Transformer fans you're talking about. They won't show restraint or consideration.

 

So far the major weakness in the RID line has been arms. I can accept one or two figures with bad arms, but these people are having problems designing them across the line. I'm glad that these appear to be posable at least.

I reaaaallllly want this guy, solely for the transformation. The in-show Vehicon isnt even close to my top three favorite characters; just the way they accomplished this transformation, the only kibble that's there is because it's also there in the show.

As for when these are coming out, I've been right so far, and here is/was my prediction: based on when wave one came out and how close wave two was to wave one, i knew they would wait till at least April for this. I thought we'd get pictures the last week of March/first week of April, then it would start trickling out soon after. I think we should start getting sightings in the next week and a half, then by Botcon theyll be fairly widespread. Since theyve already displayed wave one and two at NY Toy fair, they need something currently in stores to push at Botcon, which is what makes me think that's when wave three will be widely introduced. Pushing a little bit further, theyll preview the next few waves at Botcon which will be spread throughout the summer and early fall

Yeah. It's really easy to understand, totally doesn't get on your last nerve either.  

 

So, fooled around with this guy today, and...wow. Almost as good as FE Starscream.

 

This guy looks really awesome. I don't normally army build, but I might end up getting two Vehicons.
