    EXACTLY!

All of this unwritten bullshit about proper buying etiquette is ridiculous. You see something you want, you buy it.

If I walk into Toysrus and see something I want, I am not going to stand there and debate in my head about whether or not some dude who may or may not come in after me might want it.

Proper buying etiquette isn't ridiculous. Many people here like to ensure they're not taking more than they need and preventing other people from enjoying the toys. I see no problem with this.

However, I do have a problem with the villification of army builders and scalpers for the reason you have stated.

It can be especially when the guy doing it is just trying to convince people not to buy as many of X thing they want it themselves. That's usually the reason they "let's be good fans and not buy all we see so everyone (them) has a chance". There are very few fans truly like that in this fandom especially. Truth be told, it is just that simple. You may have a friend who picks you up something or such but random fans being thoughtful, not a chance. Learned that first hand myself re-entering the hobby.

"Buying Etiquette" in the Transfandom is like seeing Bigfoot pretty much. :lol  People talk about it but you never really see it. I've gotten all mine online in one form or another (BBTS and a trade here) and had to do it because of the "buying etiquette" here locally. If we do get things in a couple of asshats empty the pegs and multiple times, literally. Most people who have a few Vehicons got them the same way I did and aren't really taking anyone's chance away. Vehicons distribution is so screwed up if you do see one or more in a store you better get what you want or you stand good chance of paying ridiculous amounts or not getting at all.

    ^QFT.

I managed to only get 1 Vehicon from a shop that I usually get from. As for retail, I managed to get one not by myself, but from a friend who was just browsing a local supermart and saw 2. He PMed me in FB and asked whether I wanted it and went ahead to pick it up for me after I said yes.

To cut the long story short, my opinion is that sometimes not everyone you see hoarding a particular figure is a hoarder, he might be just picking one up for a friend. But I do have my fair share of encounters with scalpers or hoarders, like a week back, when a new stock of Wave 3 came in the local TRU, there was this one guy (who is a well known scalper here at this part of the world) who was practically standing near the boxes when it arrived. He even had the gonads to open the box himself and went ahead to snag ALL the vehicons from that wave (4 sets of Wave 3 and he took all 4 Vehicons).

Much to the shock of those (me included) who wanted the Vehicons, he got away with it even after another collector told him politely that he should leave some for us. He just said that we were slow and he only takes what was rightfully his. (WTF moment there)

    But whatever.

I am sure Steves will be repacked in other waves in more numbers be case. Just have to wait and that does not hurt....much.

^ I really hope they do. They've had nothing but WTF distribution in this line particularly.

You mean bringing back the pegwarming wave 1 Cliffjumper in wave 4 rather than a Vehicon isn't an awesome idea?!

I finally got one at retail on Saturday. I really lucked out and decided to hit up a Target I already hit up the day before with nothing there. This Target opened up two cases of Wave 3 and one Vehicon was already gone, but i managed to snag the other one.

I think this figure is definitely worth the hype. About the only thing I can really think of that would make this guy perfect is giving him a swivel waist.

Buying etiquette, as a personal choice, is not ridiculous. It is a reasonable stance and attempts to accommodate other people. However, the evangelical preaching some people do for it is ridiculous because they're just fucking toys.

I have yet to see a pic of someone having more than 4 vehicons. I remember when someone had 15+ Wreck-Gar when he was out.

If you are one of the minute few who do it that's fine, congrats for being an adult/not a douche. I'm not downing your choice at all. Just know 99% who say they do are a liar and usually trying to better their own chances. I've seen it firsthand here locally from a few "collectors" and elsewhere. Buying Etiquette generally does not apply to Transformer fans, it's just the way it is and exactly why other collectors of other lines talk us doing it about so much.

This thing is amazing. I love how easy he is to transform and how he has no kibble in robot mode. Plus his car mode is bitchin'. One of the best in the line.

Easily one of the most clever transformations I've ever seen. Absolutely love this thing.

Axiom has 6, I "had" four myself til the kid (the ones who don't care about it) took one. There are plenty who have more than 5, they just haven't posted pics over the impending shitstorm to follow. I've seen 7- 10 on /toy though, not shopped either and from different guys. One was from here and got busted out for buying them to throw up on ebay, had the pics in his folder labeled "ebay" and carelessly left a link in. Pretty funny stuff.

I've got five myself, though I only have one on hand. One should be arriving tomorrow, my third is being shipped, and I just have to pay the local hooking me up for the other two. Just gotta find one more at retail and I got the squad.

Wow what? You are from the California sightings thread and we all know and saw GTR prime posted a pic with 6 MISB right in the thread. He also put them on ebay for 90+ right before he got banned LOL
