Neither of them were really current or really popular figures though. It's no wonder. WFC 3 pk at TRU for example, put out almost a year AFTER the game came out. They hype was pretty much gone, the deco was awful, and 50$ roughly for three figures. No thanks TRU. Seacons, eh. It's ok for G1 collectors but how many kids today would want it? Not many and they probably over-estimated demand on them so they got stuck with them just like those "not" Dinobots. Lets be honest, store exclusives usually are in some LSD inspired decos or colors too. That doesn't help either.

Prime Vehicons in regular color scheme, hell yeah. It's on tv right now and there's a whole ship full of them for their "good guys" to fight. People on the board still don't have one or can't find it in stores. I told everybody a while back "Someone already got Vehicon" would be the catchphrase for wave 3. Extremely underestimated figure. Couple that with the "availability" now (I've bought mine online and traded here for it) plus the next wave has zero included. It's a no brainer. If they're that leery put out a limited run, they'll be snapped up. It being a great figure only helps it's case. I'd buy a few with no hesitation. Kids would too.

The optimism of this thread is killing me.

/\ I sure as hell am not optimistic of them doing something that makes sense. I lost all hope for them listening to fans a long time ago. I am just bored and want to point out the obvious, and ideas that WOULD work. Even though I know I am wasting my breath.

I don't see why they wouldn't. They stock stupid crap all the time that has multiple of the same things in them. I've seen 3 packs of Halo people. 3 packs of Clonetroopers. Considering they stock all sorts of Transformers that are just repaints of crappy figures, it couldn't hurt for them to buy a case and try.

I'm not optimistic about that happening at all. I just know it would sell. Look how many people are crying/complaining for just one. Opened yet another Vehicon just now, what would have been my 4th but is now my 3rd since kids don't like him.

I haven't even bothered looking at my stores yet as they seem to be either still stocking the first two waves or have had so many Bumblebees on the pegs they won't be restocking in a good long while.

All subject to their whims, of course.

But Halo and Clonetroopers are from franchises that explicitly portray those characters as an army of identical-looking soldiers. Whereas, for the most part, public consciousness sees the Transformers as individuals.

True, it's all conjecture at this point. I don't pretend to be the final word on the subject.

I'm up to five PRID Vehicons, BUT I have only found ONE in the store (Target). I've checked every other day since and have not seen any sign of another. The other four Vehicons have come from trades and such.

Edit- 1,000th post!! Yay for me!!

I've got one on the way and potentially two more from a local, and I might win another on ebay...all without seeing a single at retail.

I shouldn't, I've only taken one off the "brick and morter" market. All others came from BBTS and a couple trades.

    Energon Omnicons and Terrorcons.

    Cybertron Scrapmetals.

2007 Movie Swindle, Dreadwing, etc (being mass produced drones from the game).

I never followed that series, so were they portrayed as such? What I mean to say in the context of troop builders, is that it's very clear in the media that is tied into the toy line that they're nameless, faceless grunts...like GI Joe Troopbuilders.

I'm not familiar with that era at all since that's when I was out of collecting, so I'd be pretty out of the loop if they were grunts in the tie-in media too.

Yeah, there were tons of all of them except Arcee, who kind of served as the Omnicon commander. There were hundreds of every type of terrorcon, and they'd blow up at the slightest hit. Pure cannon fodder. There were a bunch of each Omnicon type too, but they didn't explode much.

In Cybertron, scrapmetals infested Cybertron after it was abandoned by the Autobots. Tons of them in the show, but they weren't around for very long. Just long enough to drive home the "BUY TONS OF THIS THING IN ALL THREE COLORS" bit.

Prolly because they wouldn't sell it at 3x$12 but for closer to 3x$30.

BBTS doesn't mark things up when they've got it in significant supply. A 3x Vehicon set from them would probably be in the $40-45 range, depending on MSRP.

I'll take it! :lol  Seriously they aren't as bad as TRU. Buying from TRU is pretty much like buying from ebay, same markup roughly at least here anyway.
