I do not have the Hasbro Revealer Bumblebee yet but I did see pictures of the Hasbro version and saw that the stripes for this AM version is more accurate to the cartoon. However for the above pictures, I did some customization to the standard stickers, I cut up the stickers, more specifically for the black stripes because the yellow on the stickers does not match the yellow on the figure too well. I had also painted some parts of the figures, more specifically the side mirrors portion, otherwise it would have been transulcent blue. I painted small portion of black on the head as well to reflect better accuracy to the cartoon.

I thought I wouldn't like the ports on this figure but for having it now, it didn't take away too much. I especially love the arm micron of the bumblebee! Pasting the stickers do take consume time and patience, it does take quite a bit of effort to paste the stickers well so that your figure may looks good. I guess the most difficult part for me is the cutting of the stickers to customize and some portion of the roof of the car has uneven surface, hence it is more difficult to get the stickers to stick well.

Like someone has mentioned in the other reviews, you probably got to like the arm minicons enough to get these, otherwise, just go for the hasbro version and perhaps try to get the AM figures that is not available for Hasbro version, like Skywarp.

Why are the ports painted on Bumblebee but not on say, Skywarp or Megatron?

    Because Bumblebee's molded with them.

Skywarp on Megatron, are the pre-existing FE molds, so Megatron's at least are separate parts glued on. I dunno why Skywarp's need to be painted. They're just on his bombs.

I don't really see the problem. They're bombs, not a physical part of the aircraft itself. And it's not like they're cast in a particularly clashing colour.

Besides, remember what line you're talking about. With as little paint as the toys have, you think they're going to go and paint the bombs? I think you'd rather Skywarp have a face then waste the app on those...

Since they are going to paint the toy, might as well do away with the stupid stickers, paint the whole figure instead

Arms Micron is awesome, stickers look okay on the figure, although I ended up making the roof one shorter because it wouldn't follow the raised portion on the front, but overall, I think I liked Bumblebee naked more. Stickers on modern figures look out of place.
