You know, in Singapore, as long as it is not broken, no way you can ask the retail shop to exchange the loose hip for you. Start to think to buy from RK!

Really loving MP11 and having one in each mode at the same time. Still haven't tried either coronation gear yet tho.

Will you be going for the blue nosecone?

I kind of want to take mine to a local hobby shop to see if I can match up the blue for the nosecone (don't really feel like stripping the gray off with rubbing alcohol).

:lol  Me either. I was so excited about the actual figure I couldn't even be bothered with the accessories.

Got mine today, and he's so much better than the original it's not funny.

No gaps between parts in jet mode like the nosecone and shoulder fuel tank kibble, the air brake sits flush in jet mode, no more detaching the nullrays, and that absolutely dribblingly ******ed decision to have the tailfins hanging off the hips in bot mode has been put right at long last.

He's not perfect, of course (far too pricey compared to the originals, I'm not overly keen on the choice of toon colours over toy colours, and they might have kept the sleeker and more poseable MP-03 foot/leg design). But overall he's great. Roll on the Skywarp and Thundercracker redecos (hopefully cheaper Hasbro ones)!

Having said all that, what's the best way to do the wings/arms to transform him into jet mode? He has pegs on the arms for the wings to slot into, and another peg on the torso for the wings to connect to. I'm just a bit nervous that constantly forcing the wings up and inwards will eventually cause stressing and breakages. Anyone got a better method?

I have a tough time deciding how should I display him, his regular self or with the coronation cape and crown. Both versions look awesome.

I saw Seibertron photo pages has the red air intakes bent forward and earlier someone requested for that too. Now, I'm curious, is the red air intake by the neck suppose to be straight up or bent forward? From the instructional booklet at the coronation page, there are double arrows pointing the air intake to push straight up before putting the crown. This imply the air intake should be bent forward for the non-coronation version. If that's the case, how come the transformation diagram pages going from robot to jet always show the intake straight? Which is correct?

Intake bent represents the character's look in the cartoon, where the forward edge of the intake was vertical in robot mode.

They swing back for Coronation mode because they get in the way of the crown.

Fold the wings/hinges 180 into position then connect the wings to the body. At this point, fold the chest up into position and make sure the arms are either clicked downwards or almost clicked downwards at the shoulder so that the arm tabs are not in the way. It doesn't seem like the shoulders can move with so little clearance, but they can.

Once the wings are connected to the body, the hip plates can be slid away slightly, so swing the arms back into position with the tabs going into the slots underneath the wings, while slightly holding the hip plate(s) to the side(they're on springs so you have a little room for play). Once the arms are tabbed in, pull the hip plate just enough so that the tabs on them can go into the forearm/space where the hand is.

Mine finally arrived today, and it looks even better than I hoped it would. The plastic and paint are perfect, and everything fits together in both modes with no annoying gaps. All the joints on mine are good and tight too. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this guy.

I painted the nosecone blue while waiting on a part from a custom project to cure. It came out rather nicely and a damn good factory match to the metallic blue on the rest of the figure. I just painted the outside of it, though. I didn't really feel like stripping the gray off of the nosecone.

I need to take and post photos of some projects, so I may be able to swing that (sometime tonight, possibly).
