They can definitely pop off if you're not careful with them, but they pop back on fine, so its nothing to worry about.

I hate the unpainted grey he has, I'm waiting for a Hasbro version that is painted white or light grey like their MP-03 US edition.

 

I'm hoping that he's light grey if he's released in the states.

 

MP03 was moulded in white, there was sadly no paint on that one. The only seekers, to this day, that have paint on their main body, are the japanese Skywarp and Thundercracker. *Maybe* Sunstorm as well.

 

Walmart Skywarp also had a silver-painted body, which looks much nicer than the swirly translucent gray they used on the entire MP-11 SS, and the body of Hasbro MP-11 TC. Seeing the latest trend in using this cheap-looking plastic, I doubt a US-release MP-11 screamer would be painted. I would love to be wrong.

 

But that's the thing, previous US screamer wasn't really painted either.. Just cast in white.

 

Well I buckled, LOL! Cancelled my Sunstorm and decided to go with Screamer. I just kept thinking that on the off chance they don't import him I could be without a true Starscream (my fav con) so I caved, plain gray plastic and all.

 

The grey looks good in person. Like an upscaled Henkei. You won't regret it. The only thing about this Starscream I keep going back and forth on is the face color.

 

I kinda like the dark. Seems a little more sinister. If I feel different in person I'll just change it out with TRU TC's.

The dark face is far more accurate. He's always had a dark face in the cartoon.

 

How they hell does your canopy line up so well, mine has a gap in it in jet mode.

 

Make sure the nose section (the part with the front windscreen) is pulled all the way out before you snap it into place in alt mode. There should be an audible click when it's extended all the way.

 

I don't think the silvery plastic is cheap per se, it just swirls by nature. And this may be preference, but the grey on Thundercracker has grown on me. It's more... cartoon-y. I'm more bugged by the fact that every Hasbro seeker has a different color for the upper thighs vs the lower thighs (grey vs blue, red vs white, etc). Makes them look like they're wearing shorts.  

As for 'Scream, I finally got him the other day.   He's the best SS since the Henkei and leagues beyond Walmart MP SS (which I just got as well). In fact, I think this Starscream pretty much fulfills what I always wanted out of a Masterpiece SS: the colors, the crown, the design thats closer to the original prototype (but further refined and sexified). The only trifle is that the jet suffers, hence Wal-scream.

 

I just wish he would come out here. Since I own WalScream, Skywarp, and TRU Thundercracker I can't justify paying $200 for him with all the other stuff that has just come out or is around the corner.

 

this is the only starscream i'll ever need. the colours are fantastic in person, the metallic flake in the grey is very nice
