Probably has something to do with the fact that the wings are specifically designed to angle out in bot mode, hence why most people show it transformed that way.

 

Got mine today, I think it's a beauty. I like it better than my original MP-03 Starscream or my iGear Traitor. It's MP-like and toy-like at the same time. Headsculpt is fantastic.

 

I was originally a big fan of the new head, and it was the best part of this figure in pictures. I have to admit though that I have gone off it over the last week, and I think that I am now down to prefering the original head sculpt. The head on this one looks like he has not eaten for four days, and - for me - doesn't have the same 'troublemaker' look to it.

Also, I am in two minds on the cape/stand. Really, the only reason that people miss the stand is because version one came with one. But, no other MP figures have had one (and the anniversary Prime plinth doesn't count), so it shouldn't really be viewed as an ommission. That said, I have no interest in the cape/corronation set (I don't own the version for MP-03, for example) and I am not interested in replicating that scene at all, and the stand really does help the figure and elevate it to show it off better. The fact that the alt mode is flat, as opposed to Prime, for example, means that the Seekers really benefit from it.

 

My girlfriend would shoot me if she knew this, but this is bought on friday. This is what Ive waited years for since the orignal prototype was shown. Thats not to say I didnt like MP-3 tho. Ive got him, MP TC, MP SW, and also Walmart Screamer. But I like this far better.

 

So I got my MP-11 in the mail tonight, opened the package, and the nosecone was BROkEN off completely. The hinge holding the cone on was snapped and the cone will pop off easily. I've never had a toy of this price point broken on arrival. Got it from BBTS. So return it?

Yes! Return it for sure. I've heard BBTS are pretty good about replacing faulty products. Still waiting on my MP11 hopefully he doesn't suffer the same fate.

I do not see this as being Yamatoed. Probably a very isolated case.

Just a MWF joke. I had many Valks (from Macross series) in the early 1/48 days and I have been Yamatoed (Yamato-the manufacturer of these toys, hence if you get a defective one, you are basically Yamatoed  ) quite a few times. The latest 1/60 holds up well, but the early days of 1/60 VF-0s can make a grown man like me weep manly tears.

As for MP11, I will have mine coming in soon by next week, so yeah.

 

That's 2 broken randomes reported so far. I think it's due to the way it's packaged, MP11 is packaged in bot mode. Maybe there should be a foam cushion placed between the randome and plastic tray when packing at the factory.

 

The nosecose was the one thing on the original mold which was more fragile than the wing joints. I guess that hasn't changed.

I got mine today, no qc issues at all. Probably the best version of the mold out there. Everything was solid.

Still wish the torso locked in, if that one thing was fixed it would be perfect.

 

Got mine and I love it!!! Now this is Starscream. My walmart SS, MP TC, MP SW were all sold for a good price back when MP-11 was announced. I wasn't a fan of the old head sculpt, hip kibble, and the coloring. Can't wait for true G1 colors of TC and SW in this mold.
