Officially this isn't a review, but I wanted to showcase the visual differences between these two figures just in case anyone is still on the fence about obtaining the new MP-11 Starscream. This also includes the differences between TFC's Coronation Set and the coronation pieces that come with MP-11.

Excellent comparison shots! I think MP-11 is a good improvement, but I'm still not in love with the mold.

WOW! I agree with process... the comparison pics are spectacular and really leave nothing to question about differences.

Man, if I didn't have IGear's SS, this thing would be bought... sooooooooo bought...

It's nice that they updated the mold but that coronation set just looks like an excuse to up the price on him IMO.

Great photos. Unfortunately that plastic on MP11 doesn't get any less yucky looking with new photos.
Looks like some kind of soft metallic cheese.

I still like the smirking face on starscream more than the mp11 face. That's one gimmick I wish they would have kept.

is it sad that i think integrated null rays is what did it for me.

while i will say the old versions altmode is far superior

the mp 11 robot mode from the shins up jsut knocks it out of the park

If I didn't already own WM Starscream, I'd be allover this, but I just don't want to go through the process of selling off my existing MP's just to replace them. And double dipping isn't really an option. I'm just going to have to enjoy this figure vicariously through everyone else. It's kind of the same reason that I didn't bother to pick up MP-10.

It's much better proportioned and the alt mode sacrifices are really too minimal to complain.

There are a LOT more differences than I thought, too!

First, killer pics. Thanks for posting them.

As someone without eith SS, I'm leaning towards this version and really hope Hasbro does a US release. Bot mode crushes and seriously, who displays their TFs mostly in alt mode? And panel lines look wonky on bot mode IMHO, though they do look great in alt mode.

MP11 resolved all the issues I had with MP03. Definitely a must buy for me.

Does MP11 have the rotating face?

I far prefer the original version, but really appreciate these pictures. Thanks for taking the time.

But, why doesn't anyone else rotate the hands 90 degrees so that the flat back of the hands is facing out/down? It smoothes off the underside and hides the fingers (and stops it making it look like Starscream is meditating) in alt mode.

No rotating face unfortunately, but IMO the new head sculpt makes up for it.

Can you show the newly redesigned feet from the back?

Interesting to see how much actually has been changed, as my first assumption was that MP-11 would only update the changed parts. This is more a ground-up remake built around the same base design. (toys like BW K-9 come to mind here) Aside from the rear end of the jet being much chunkier and clunkier (aside from the mild standing instability, I find the MP-3 mold's handling of the feet more elegant) The whole thing works very well.

I'm not a huge fan of the mold, even modded, so I think I'd only get this if a Hasbro/USA version comes out, though I wouldn't be surprised if they only put it out as Thundercracker or something. :)
