Back on topic please guys, this one's the Arcee thread. The Optimus thread is over that-a-way.

Saw Arcee on the shelf the other day and just couldn't pull the trigger - the Waspinator vibe plus the simplicity plus Prime figures doubling as classics when missing a character all contributed to that decision.

And yet, now I have Powerizer Prime and am desparately looking for a gun that works for him (yeah, I actaully like that fig) so I'm sorta kicking myself for passing on this considering I had the Walmart flyer in hand at the time.
Shop smart, Shop S-Mart.

got to around page 19, then had to bail out.

I'm really liking this Arcee.
Hot Rod's gun, AirRazor's wings, a kick stand... what's not to like?

I'm not sure I'm following you. One minute the RID is the best thing since bread came sliced, super accurate minus the backpack, and the FE is a turd, then the RID version suddenly has "boatload of inaccuracies" and "isn't as good" (as the FE version). Enlighten me.
That last post is a part of the Voyager Prime argument, obviously.

Got this figure awhile ago. and i have to say, I'd trade my FE Arcee for a Fe Cliffjumper- not because Cliffy's rarer, but because RiD Arcee is AWESOME!!!

There were two things about the FE figure that bugged me- the rather tall size compared to other figures and the hindered elbow articulation, and this figure manages to solve both problems rather nicely. I really don't mind the lighter coloration, and the large backpack can be easily help by popping off the wheel.

That said, there are a few snags- the way the wheel in the legs splits leaves it sticking really far out the back of her legs. I REALLY don;t get why they didn't keep the FE transformation's semi-circle split. Oh, and she only comes with one blade. And yes, the lack of pinkish accents bugs me too. (The massive gun, on the other hand, I personally like )

So overall, a really nice figure, which is a nice change, seeing how some other RiD toys stink in comparison to their FE counterparts.

Finally got one today. She's okay. She looks and feels a bit cheap, I wish the hands were hidden better in motorcycle mode, but it's still okay. I don't mind much the back kibble. It's not like it's a first in the TF world. I still prefer FE Arcee. Better colors, better sculpt, better transformation.
