Alright folks here's my work on the controversial (in the sense he's bloody everywhere) kid lovable, yellow bastard that is Bumblebee. He really needed the paint work and as a result he's a much better figure.

    Nice tip. Thank you.

I took my Prime Bee out of the pack tonight. (My wife picked him up on sale earlier this week.) It's an OK figure--perhaps 7/10. As others have said, he pales in comparison with FE Bumblebee, but the transformation is much more straightforward. I am not disappointed, although I do hope they refine the mold a little for Hot Shot.

Myabe mine was built differently, but I didn't have to mod anything to get the head to sit all the way down

Was bored and felt the itch to buy a TF, so I got this guy at Walmart. Not bad, FE has a better sculpt but the arms...oh man the shoulders...much better on this. Automorph is neat. Plastic is meh. Wish it was molded in say..movie yellow.

I agree. This is one automorph that is kick ass. And after I did that easy fix with pulling it up a few times, now , it just works perfect now.

    Still want the FE though

Kylehudson1996 review & comparison: PRID dlx. Bumblebee

Hi, Im here to review to the Transformers: Prime "robots in disguise" Deluxe class Bumblebee! Ill be giving my opinion on the figure & some comparison shots with the "First Edition" counterpart(please forgive the low quality pics). Lets get started! :)

    1. Vehicle mode:
The vehicle mode is nice, but leaves something to be desired. This mode is smaller than previous deluxes. Even smaller than some DOTM cars, but this seems to be the case with all the PRID vehicles. I dont mind the smaller car as much as I thought I would, its actually kinda nice! It matches the show model well, but not as nicely as the FE.

Side by side you can tell the size difference & note the painted rims on the FE.

From the front & back view of both car modes you can clearly see the small touches on the FE that the PRID doesnt have. To point out the details if some of you dont notice them they are, the small black details on the lower grill, the orange highlights alongside the headlights, the autobot symbol on the front, & the red back-lights. Again, those are all the details the FE comes with.

    2. Robot mode:
The things this figure lacks in vehicle mode, it more than makes up for in Robot mode! I am astounded at how much I like his Robot mode! The transformation is simple, but quite effective in the overall look & design.

    Next to the FE:

Compared to the first edition, it stands out as the better of the two. The PRID fixes most of the problems I had with the FE. No more gorilla arms, underhanging doors, or loose torso. Everything on this figure is nice and secure in robot mode. The proportions are far better. The only thing I find that isn't better are the forearms, they are smaller than they should be to match the show model. The FE gets that one right, but I understand why they had to be smaller for car mode.

    Weapons:
A nice little touch was that it came with TWO blasters, where the FE came with one. If you've watched TFP you know that when Bumblebee pulls out his blasters, its usually two at one time. They included that little tid bit!:D

    3: Overall
Overall I think that the PRID deluxe Bumblebee is a must buy! From pictures it looks mediocre, but in person it is astounding & really fun! As a collector I highly recommend you give this figure another chance. Its not perfectly in-scale with the rest of your TFP Autobots, but it does look really nice!

Thank you for taking a look at my review & I hope it helped you make a decision!:thumb

Nice review, but this should stay in the pre-existing thread.

Great first try on reviewing mate! :thumb  You know looking at this I may consider getting him after what you've mentioned. Espcially when you point out his good points. I also like how he comes with both blasters instead of just one. :thumb

Are there any mods for the shoulders of the revealers BB so they can sit back a little more?

I just got my FE Bee today Via HTS...They are still up for sale there.

Once again...NO Comparison..The FE WOMPS on the rid toy by leaps and bounds. I dont get what everyone says about the finnicky chest, mine was quite tight. Iread complaints about Gorilla arms..I think it works great, and I can get much better poses out of the FE that the rid one. Light piping is way better.

More detail...more show accurate, and I dont have to mess with the auto morph to get the head right. The rid drives me nuts with the arms at an angle.

If your a fan of TFP Bee...Just order the one from HTS. The FE is still available and MUCH better. The one at the store is around $13 or so...I got mine shipped for $19 from HTS. WAY better deal
