No dedicated individual Cyberverse pictorial threads, and since I enjoyed the other reviews I made I thought I'd get us started. I'll be honest though: I missed Cyberverse with DotM. Got Megatron. Didn't like him and never bought another, so I have no idea if the things I enjoyed here happened much in the old line.

These though. These may be some of the nicest, most fun little transformers I've bought, particularly at the cheaper price.

    On to the pics!

Vehicle mode is hilarious. It's the silliest doom frisbee from space I've ever seen. At least it's got the right silhouette. A bit.

As expected, Transformation is extremely simple. I won't insult your intelligence by doing a step by step - except to show you this, because it made me laugh. Yes, I'm that childish.

The actual robot mode is brilliant, and clearly the heart and soul of the toy.

It actually outdoes the voyager on some counts, due to not having wings.

He's nicely poseable, though missing a head swivel. Due to the transformation though, it would be hard to put one in.

The brilliant thing with the Prime Cyberverse toys though is the clear weapons. The clear, stackable weapons covered in pegs and ports. And the multiple ports across each figure.

Megatron comes with his purple sword. It's clear purple plastic, and has some nice sculpted detail, though only on one side. He has holes on his forearms, his cannon, and a peg on his back. Sadly, the cannon is on a ball joint, and so can't be removed to go with other toys.

But, combine it with the other weapons in your collection and a merely decent toy can become gloriously silly and wonderful.

    That's more like it!

Megatron doesn't even need to aim. With enough guns strapped to his arm, something's gotta hit them.

I'm going to buy lots more of these. And it's only going to get sillier.

Overall, Megatron is heartily, heartily recommended. If the mainline of Prime has left you feeling cold, surely there's a place in your heart for these little guys? They're small, cheap, but mighty. Starscream and Bulkhead to follow.

He has guns for a crown. Emperor of Destruction, indeed.

So... the best Megatron robot mode of the line is smaller then a scout.

    I weep for the future.

He looks really good in robot mode. His vehicle mode looks silly but I honesly don't really care unless it's a car or truck. Which I admit is odd, I just like rolling them.

Anyway, I was thinking of picking him up to have a little Megatron for Lugnut to play with. :lol  But now I may pick him up because of how good looking he is.

Is it just me, or does his overall robot mode and fusion cannon design look better than the Voyager?

That is the coolest Cyberverse ever. He actulay does the robot mode better than both bigger toys.

Seems to be a great figure. Even though I like the look of the main-line, I'm beginning to consider going Cyberverse-only when it comes to Prime. Cheaper toys that take up less shelf space, are still really detailed, come with some cool weapons, and will have vehicles and at least one base to display/play with.

I'm definitely looking forward to more Cyberverse reviews.

Well, the altmode does suffer a bit for it, but honestly Prime megatron doesn't even have much of an altmode. I do hope he gets another one eventually, Megatruck was actually a great idea in my opinion. (interestingly, botshots Megatron has the Prime aesthetic and a truck altmode, I think)

Agreed. But since Megatron hasn't gotten a good alt mode EVER (except DotM) it doesn't bother me much at all.

The one thing I really REALLY wish the cyberverse commanders had was head articulation. When a powerful robot can only look straight ahead, they become quite useless.

Still, I think I might just be picking this up!

I was already a convert to the Church of Cyberverse thanks to the DotM stuff.
And Prime is only going to bring more joy in small packages.

Thanks for the review. Feel free to take heaps of pictures of Megatron doing stuff as you please.

Excellent! I can't wait to snatch these guys up when I see them!

I look forward to your Commander Starscream review. Any chance for video reviews of Megs and Starscream?

Also Creaky, if DotM Cyberverse Megs put you off to Cyberverse last year may I recomend, Commander Guzzle, Powerglide, and Blackout to you for consideration.

Christ. Is it too late to switch my affections from mainline to cyberverse for Prime? I'll hate myself forever getting both (which I just about did for DotM).

Eh, think I will keep building the show cast in Deluxe and Voyager, but keep an eye on Cyberverse for G1 homages and the like. :D

I don't usually collect Cyberverse figures but Megatron here looks pretty good espically in robot mode!

I might get this along with Commander class Ironhide and Leigon Class Arcee.

I like it a lot. Almost as much as the Deluxe and way more than the Voyager.
