Haaaaaaaate the missing tires as 'speakers' on his shoulders when you transform the figure the way demonstrated in these pics. Not only is it inaccurate to the movie, but the figure just looks so... standard without them. Sure it increases his arm poseability some, but again, ruins the aesthetic for me.
Got a hasbro version in the mail today. Much better than I thought, fun figure if somewhat fiddly when transforming the arms back to car mode.
Y'know, the more I look at pics of this guy, the more I think his proportions are kind of action-mastery and childish. The head appears too big and the hands are goofy. Also, why haven't they learned that they should put all heads on ball joints?!
Yeah, it seems to be the polar opposite of the HA version: Huge feet and small upper body. It looks a bit weird to me. I don't hate it though, it's just overshadowed by the HA for my tastes.
I go back & forth over who I think nails the look better - but that alternate transformation just tipped the scales better for the DLX imo.
Wow being unpainted really makes it look really bad. Such a shame as I was considering him, but not now.
Got mine and while the robot mode is much better proportioned, he doesn't look menacing like HA version to me. Having said that, he is still a fun toy. I am looking forward to pose him around a bit more and take some pics
Anyone else who has this in hand know how alternate transformation removed the buttflap, I'm having a hard time replicating that part.
I haven't tried it, but the flap is indeed annoying. Limits the articulations of the legs, which are quite good in fact.
OMG FansWantIt PLEEEEEEASE make leg armor for HA Soundwave! I love this toy but the legs look stupid!!! ...sorry off topic.
