I won't have access to my collection and camera again until the middle of next week; I'll post some more shots then.

Well... I'm back with my collection, now, so... here's some more on MP-09B:

The mould itself seems to be the v2, so it has some improvements...

He can hold his guns

His back clips on properly

Although I prefer his back "flipped", bringing the fin closer to his head (how I got the back of my v1 MP-09 to stay upright)

He looks great on display with his Decepticon buddies...

... and packs up nicely when he's had enough of them

For when "outta my way, jerk!" just isn't enough

He has a Matrix...

... he can also do a Matrix... kinda...

There does still seem to be an issue with scratching in Winnebago mode (hence no new pictures of that)

I realise it's possible that the scratches may have occured before I transformed him, however the straightness and location of the scratches suggest the tolerances are still a bit too tight.

The only other "v2 niggle" is that to get around the problem with leg panels falling off, they gave them the "plastic rivet" type jonts. Whilst this allows them to pop back on when they do come off, one of them (at least on mine) insists on popping off during each transformatipn. It's almost like he took transformation lessons from Alternators Wheeljack

Beyond that, there's no real gripes beyond the existing MP-09 problems that aren't fixable with a minor remould - it's still fiddly, and very tricky to get "just right" in car mode.

But damn, it does look good. I think I'd actually be inclined to say that if you can only afford one of them, unless you have a particular fondness for Hot Rod / Rodimus, go for MP-09B over MP-09, because the black paint scheme is soooo much nicer than the orange.

I've got one that's supposed to arrive today via FedEx. Hopefully it's undamaged and QC checks out. I have to agree this color scheme really works well. It made me want it over the original. I only wish the feet were black or dark grey to better match the shins, but that's not too big a deal.

So what is the general consensus on this? Looking into buying one, is it worth it? The pics of it look awesome! Are all the QC issues from the old Roddy mold resolved?
