Is it just me, or does his lance thingy actually look sorta like a huge scalpel?

 

Looks great, really looking forward to this guy.  
I'm glad they gave him his spear. Even if he didn't use it in the movie I feel it's a pretty big part of his look.

If memory serves me correctly, dOtm is the same person, or group of people, as rifflescopeshop, which is the same as ii-toy.com... who currently have both toys listed on that site.

I'm still not convinced your inside connections extend beyond factory leaked toys, which plenty can get their hands on.

 

Fair enough have your opinion, after the shadow bashing ( even though he was fake) and even the skepticism I've received I've decided to stop revealing any information anyway. But some of shadows comments and reveals are coming so even if he was a fake wait and see on 2012 starting with you fair   but no dude soundwave was sourced from d0tm direct and wheeljack inside take it or leave it. I wouldn't share emails of personal messages anyway

 

..all that said, some of the possibilities that are being thrown around, are quite interesting.

 

I will be honest 2012 will be a good year and that's a promise to people......plus the restraints on the dotm will be released so take that as you will...all I know is my activity collection will be complete  

 

So i got my Takara tomy dotm que today...

Pretty much as the title says   i know there have been in hand pics before, but i wanted to share my thoughts on the little guy and find out what the other lucky few who have him in hand already thought, plus for you guys who don't have him yet, instead of doing standard pics for a review, i wanted to make it a bit more interactive and i'll post up pics by request, so everyone can see the pics they want or need to see, and hopefully that will help you undecided guys to make a decision  

First things first i ordered it December 14th from Robot kingdom, it shipped the next day and arrived today (December 20th) and i live in the UK! I have used robot kingdom in the past and they are quick, but just before christmas? WOW.

Onto my 'Review' i really cannot praise the figure enough. I know some people aren't a fan of the character or the design but he has some amazing steps, and a really involved transformation.

You start by pulling the trunk away from the car, then unpegging the roof and folding it away from the body. you then un-peg the rear wheels and rotate the waist. You then slide the car doors behind his back and fold the hood over the doors and peg it into his back. The trunk of the car then folds up onto the rear window and you collapse the roof back on itself before flipping out the feet and flipping up the panels to fill his shins and finally splitting the legs. Adjust the rear wheels on his thighs and the lower half is done!

After doing this you take the two front panels and unfold the arms and move them to his sides. You then open the chest, flip out the head, fold in the front panels, clip on his weapons and with some adjusting of kibble he is done!

Overall love the figure. I loved the character (all few minutes of screen time) and the look is really translated here. Since this is the japanese version it comes with a neat little card, which is about the size of a credit card and plastic, so it makes a cool little bonus. To round this up, I would have to give the figure 9/10. He loses just one point because the paint scheme could have been more accurate, but the major gripe for me is the Mercedes E550 has a glass roof and i think a bit of black paint to cover up the blue on the roof would have really completed the figure a little more, although when this guy hits retail and i can pick another one up i'll paint it up myself. I can't help but think of Yoshimitsu from the Namco videogames. This guy looks like he'll stab himself to kill you any day of the week.

But I still wouldn't buy it now.

 

Got mine yesterday. Cool transformation, but articulation isn't the best because of the kibble, clearance in car mode is sometimes an issue because the chest piece tends to drag on the ground and weapons can't be store in car mode. I wonder why they bothered.

 

Hmmmm, that's disappointing. Judging by pics he looked really well articulated.

 

Legs can't really bend at the knee, back leg kibble is in the way.

 

That is one FUGLY transformer!

 

I just bought one for 50 bucks and should be here by the begining of January.. I just couldnt wait anymore... I love this robot too much so yes ill pay insane amounts for him..he would be the only one because i like him the most in all of the movies.. hope it looks even better in person!
