Our RiD Prime figures have 13 languages. So the character description only one sentence long :lol .

Wow, the pictures in the first few posts of this thread are surprisingly mistransformed.

Bulkhead is such a great toy. Transforming him is rather fun.

I received the Takara FE Bulkhead, and it has a minor paint issue with one of the eyes. Can anyone suggest a paint that I might use to correct this?

    Got my Takara Bulkhead.

This thing is an instant classic. Give it a few short years and I can see it becomming an instant grail.

Figure out whatever organ you don't need, sell it, and get this guy.

Man, that sucks. My Takara Bulkhead got stuck with two left heels only, his forefeet are a proper right and left, though. Luckily the heels aren't vital to his balance and I can still appreciate the full awesomeness of this guy.

Citadel/Games Workshop's Ice Blue with a clearcoat, Pledge/Future floor finish will do. It should be about the same as before maybe a touch lighter, barely noticeable.

Citadel/Games Workshop's Chainmail should be about as close as it gets, again clearcoat it though.

I'm not a customizer, so bear with me...
I should clearcoat it with Future finish, correct? And how long do I wait after I paint them to do this? Thanks!

Yes and you gotta start somewhere. We all do. I'm more of a detailer than a customizer really. :lol  Wait about an hour with those paints. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the Future's drying but let it set a few days (48 hours usually and it's hard as hell) before trying to transform it or anything and if the area is a tight fitting one, sand it first with fine grit sandpaper. REALLY fine grit sandpaper. If you customize figures you gotta have Future in your lineup. It's a great multi-purpose product.:thumbs2:

I love how this toy basically explodes when he transforms, with every panel and part at one point just spread out. He probably has the most show-accurate transformation in that regard.

I just wish those damn biceps weren't so stupidly tight. They honestly kill posability because the hings the arms attach to aren't as tight, and since his legs are so stout that's a big loss. Also I'm finding his arm kibble are getting into fights more and more.

So Takara paints the entire body but still leaves the rims paintless? :sly2:

And paints it the wrong colour, too.

But TBH, rims on trucks aren't essential to me. Then again I like black rims on trucks in real life.

Honestly, it's not that huge. I like it as-is.

I personally like matte black rims on cars myself*, I just found it to be a weird choice considering the animation model looks like it has dark grey/silver rims from what I can tell.

*That said I think most TFs need painted rims to break up silhouette.

Edit: And the Takara paint color is sexy, though I like it both ways. I would be happy with either as both have the same accent colors.

I have been building models my whole life, Customizing Joes and TFs for years now. I will say that Future is one of THE BEST damn products ive used for multiple applications. Tighten joints, solid strong clear coats...EVERY customizer should have it. Ive even mixxed it with paints and it makes a real good finish almost factory strength

Again, no they didn't. He's cast in metallic green plastic, he's not painted.

He's actually got less paint than the Hasbro version, because he doesn't have the dark green accents on his window frames and running boards.
