    Got this guy today.

Absolutely incredible. It's just a fantastic, mindblowing figure. The torso transformation is just crazy, especially how he goes from a relatively small vehicle to a rather large robot.

Mine only has one minor issue: the right shoulder, on the black connector that attaches his arm to his torso, is pretty loose and pops out somewhat easily. Anyone else have this problem? Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I personally couldn't find anything about it.

I need to read this thread more thoroughly for any neato tips, but I just got this guy from a seller in China that I gave way too much money to and I had to gush about him a little. Yeah, I paid about $90... objectively speaking, this is not a $90 toy. I'm sucking it up to availability and shipping from China. And if that's not true, shut up I don't wanna know the truth. :p  $90 was hard enough to swallow as is.

That said... I'm really happy with this guy. I don't have my Animated Bulkhead anymore, but it's hard to imagine that he's the same size as Prime Bulkhead, just taller. Maybe it's the weight of Prime Bulkhead... but he just feels big. That alt mode is STUFFED. Bot mode is 90% spot on... I've found two different ways to configure the doors on his chest... one hides the headlights, one shows em. I bet there's already pictures in this thread.

Transformation is complex. Requires a lot of moving panels around... but it's a little more fun than most toys with the whole "move a lot of panels around" thing going. I'm hoping I don't feel that way cause he's new and hurt my wallet pretty bad.

I feel bad for Bulkhead fans who can't afford this guy. I just barely could - I caught him at the price I got him for when I had the money, no outstanding obligations, and had sucked up to the lovely lady in my life sufficiently enough. If you can afford to pay a huge amount of money for a voyager figure... do not miss. Hell, given the way that toy sizes seem top be shrinking, FE Bulkhead is nearly an Ultra class figure! Nearly.

$60 when I bought him is still a lot better than $100 if I try to buy him in a year.

Have there been any bot mode comparison pics between TF Prime Bulkhead and the Leader sized one from Animated yet?

Don't have a photo, but with both standing normally, Prime FE Bulk's head is about even with the top of Animated Leader Bulk's Autobot symbol.

Anyone? Might consider exchanging him, as he can't even really hold his mace up without his arm drooping down and/or popping out.

So after waiting about a month or so for my preorder at HLJ to fill, I check the sale page today and it says it's discontinued.

I know that feel bro, him and Cliffjumper both. I canceled my bbts preorder because hlj was slightly cheaper, and ended up dropping $90 on ebay for Bulkhead because of this. It's just bad business.

I had that preorder, but I also had Cliff preordered. Due to the fact that one was out of stock while Bulkhead came in, they sent out all the bulkheads and left me on preorder. I knew I was screwed at this point and just got one of the last few off BBTS. After shipping, it turned out just 8 dollars more expensive from BBTS so it was way worth it.

Does anyone know AM-10 Bulkhead will have the same metallic paint as Takara first edition Bulkhead?

    ^^ It's not paint, it's the plastic.

I've heard the paint/plastic is likely to chip or something, is that true?

Just got my Takara Bulkhead. Really nice figure, but the hip joints are a bit loose.
No problems possing him though, but does anyone else have loose hips on their Takara Bulkhead?

This is what HLJ is quite famous for - their pre-orders/back orders are not 100% guaranteed. This has happened to me a few times over the years (last time with Striker Optimus) - even though I had pre-ordered things very early (just a few hours after a listing was opened), they were never fulfilled. Not even mentioning when you order stuff that's on 'back order'.

That said, I still lvoeHLJ and their prices a lot, so I will continue ordering from them.

There is no way that this figure can possibly be real. I have to be under some kind of sorcerer's spell or something. He's just an amazing feat of engineering that shows how strong this brand can and should be. Worth every penny; glad I bit the bullet on the Prime FEs.
