I like his robot mode a lot, and he's fun to pose. The transformation, as I mentioned, is almost identical to the deluxe and the vehicle mode is kind of plain and blah. But if you only get one prime, definitely get this one over the deluxe.

I hate it when they made the sword totally rubber whereby the gun is of plastic just because of safety measures, ridiculous

The sword disappointed me, but he's still an awesome toy. Glad i picked it up.

Heres hoping some group makes hard plastic stacks and swords to replace the normal ones with.

Not really. I get why it's done. That sword in hard plastic could be pretty painful the way he holds it.

I just wish the hilt wasn't soft plastic. Maybe if the blue blade was soft and the rest was hard it'd be safe.

This one is what I've been looking for in Prime OP. He takes everything I liked about the deluxe mold, makes it bigger with better proportions, and has better sculpting. His sword will be stored away though, I think it looks kind of silly.

Frankly I don't like either of his weapons. The guns and swords of TF Prime are so generic. They all make the same noise, serve the same purpose, and look the same. None of them evoke the character of their weilders. Though at least they coloured his gun black to make it a little different.

Can his knees bend back more than 90 degrees? The sculpt looks awesome. I want the deluxe also because they are different sculpts, and I like having different molds of the same character.

It's kinda funny. The bot mode looks so nice. The chest even has the truck side mirrors...

Yet the truck mode doesnt even have side mirrors... Ha!

    Nice work Hasbro!

I'm not sure if I want this guy yet. He looks nice, but after seeing Bulkhead I'd rather hunt him down first

Looks great, the only thing that I don't like is that sword and thankfully I can just leave it in the box.

I'm not sure I follow. Guns and swords generally do all serve the same purpose, shooting and cutting the opponent.

I understand what he means. It varies from franchise to franchise, but some are light on blasters and it's more like everyone has a unique power. In the movie-verse, everyone gets unique-looking built-in weapons and very distinctive sound effects.

TF:p rime is a little generic as far as weapons go so far. They made an effort, with Ratchet's weapons resembling scalpels, Optimus' swords being similar to the movie and his gun vaguely similar to G1, Bulkhead with his mace, etc. But the sound effects don't differentiate them well at all and they all make the same zappy bolts, even Bulkhead's arm-weapon which is 10 times as big around as either of BB's little barrels.

Hopefully the designers are aware of this. Skyquake got his Gatling cannon, Wheeljack uses swords and grenades, etc.

This was one of my few gripes with TF: Prime - the weapon sounds.
In G1 Prime and Megs both had a very individualised weapon sound - nice and powerful. I'm not getting the same badass vibe with the Prime show.
Still getting all the figs though :D

But I thought the Skyquake toy didn't have the gatling gun.

I´m ok with that. Frankly standard issue guns don´t bother me. All most assault rifle around the world have similar sounds and effects.

It's too bad this Prime doesn't have the moving faceplate gimmick.

I always thought that was pretty cool.
