What do you mean from the "pix below"? Do you want me to photoshop onto that picture?

How about instead, I list my reasoning?

1-The FE vehicle doesn't look much like the show model. The windows are cramped are the nose is too long.

2-The FE cheats on just about everything. The shoulders are not actually the roof of the cab and fake windows go over real windows.

3-Great, big heels on the FE.

4-Inaccurate tire placement (like the RID, the tires are supposed to go on the back, like scapulas, not against the side of the torso).

5-FE is bigger but bigger doesn't always mean better

6-FE is really just the DOTM voyager transformation, not a lot of new things being done.

7-The RID "cape" doesn't bother me as much as seening the front of the truck on FE back.

So let's talk about what the FE has going for it:

1-Colors - not actually part of the mold

2-Better accessories - not actually part of the mold

3-Arms aren't clear - not actually part of the mold and they wouldn't bother anyone if they were red on the RID

4-Smokestacks look badass sticking up the way the do - no arguing with that, that's badass AND part of the mold.

5-Waste articulation - Part of the mold and no reason the RID shouldn't have it (transformation shouldn't hinder it).

So yes, while there are some nice things about the FE mold and the figure in general, I feel the RID mold is superior. The color scheme and accessories are inferior on the RID figure, but a red sharpie and giving Prime RID Arcee's gun will likely fix that.

EDIT: A quick definition check to make sure people understand what I am saying:

MOLD - The figure in its most basic stage, how it looks as a prototype. The three-dimensional object without color or material specified. No accessories

FIGURE - What comes in the package, the final figure. Includes color, material and accessories. Figure probably isn't the best term but this is what I mean.

Compared to the animation model, the FE is too bulky and wide, probably due to his transformation, making him look good, but also too broad-shouldered. There is also too much bulk in the extremities, namely the lower legs and the forearms. The sculpted details are generally great, but the thighs don't look quite right, they are supposed to taper more and longer in relation to the lower legs.

The Powerizer for the most part fits the overall proportions better, but misses the mark with incorrect detail like the lack of color on the chest, clear blue inner forearms, and of course, the back pack.

Both have their strengths, but neither are a runaway winner.

I'm taking it you might not have the FE but c'mon.  There's a reason for the rage and hype. FE OP is "the one true champion of Transformers: Prime fans". Undeniably so.

All these reasons people are comin up with about rid prime just makes me go "whatever you gotta tell yourself!"

    Lol

    FE FTW!

(Course I'm only teasing. If you like the rid mold that's all dandy. I know you're all just settling cuz FE is hard to come by)

    Zing! Lol :p

^LOL You're right though, Josh. I don't feel one bit bad for splurging on FE Prime or FE Takara Bulkhead with things turning out like they did, on the plus side my new petition worked it seems so people may get a shot at them again. They're masterpieces compared to their RiD counterparts. Cold hard fact.

No, it's a fact but if you want to go that route. Majority rules. Enjoy the minority aka the RiD "settlers". :lol  You can't honestly say given the opportunity you'd pick Powerizer OP over FE OP if they were both on the shelf. It's a no brainer and the masses have grumbled. ;)

I would say the same thing. I have two FE Primes (one custom painted and one standard) and I have seen the RID Powerizer Prime in person. I can say while the RID gets the transformation features right, EVERYTHING else about it is just god awful.

    1) The Arms look like CRAP, I mean why have BOTH a sculpted arm AND the hood pieces? The FE folding hood pieces to make up the bulk of the forearm looks MUCH better and works.

    2) Clear Plastic & Light Features.......well, it just looks bad. And the "Powerizer" weapon is one of the WORST accessory weapons I have seen in a while for a transformer.

    3) While the truck roof does make the shoulder panels on the RID version, it also makes it bulky and far less show accurate compared to the First Edition shoulders. And I am sorry, but I would rather the trade off to have the wheels be part of the shoulder area than have them as scapulas and have the big old Sentinel Prime cape.

But then again, both figures were designed for two different reasons; the First Edition Batch being more for the collectors and those who want the best possible transformable figure based on CGI models and the RID line being more for kids. Take your pick, but you can't always have your cake and eat it too.

While I do like the FE figure a lot, I personally think stating the FE figure (hell, the whole line) was meant more for collectors is a load of bullshit.

Wrap your minds around this: Out of the two voyagers and the deluxe OP, I like the deluxe the best. *runs away*

Seriously though, for overall looks - I think the FE wins by a landslide. When looked at just as toys, ignoring any 'accuracy', I really do think the deluxe is the best. It's got the easiest and most 'fun' transformation, it locks together the most securely in both modes, the colors of the plastic are gorgeous and it's the only one of the three with painted rims. It's also nearly the same size as the RiD Op in alt mode - which is very strange considering the Rid towers over him in bot mode.

I think the RiD Prime is just fine, but one thing that bugs me is the plastic feels kind of "cheap" in comparison to the two FE toys. It just feels less substantial overall. I do love how he transforms though.

Hopefully they'll do a Leader version that will blow all of these away. :)

I base this OPINION on the fact that it was designed to be a limited release run in comparison to the RID Prime line. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I was expressing mine.

Finally got this guy today. I'm blown away by him. I love his transformation, and I can overlook a cheating chest when the end result looks so damn good in both modes. RID has a real chest, but it's big and sticks out more than it should, and doesn't integrate into the body as well.

    However, one small negative.

You may remember me bringing up stress marks on his window hinge earlier in the thread? I thought I saw them, and I was assured it was just a trick of the light. Yeah, no. fresh from the box, the top gray part of the hinge of his right chest window has a tiny stress mark on it. I'll be watching carefully to see if it expands. He's also got a stress mark on the middle of his bicep from where the screw on the other side was driven in too far, but hopefully a blowdryer can fix that.

I think people's first impressions of this guy may be influenced by which version of the transformation they experienced first. the deluxe, or the voyager. I got the voyager first, and I'm wowed by it. Aside from the animated voyager prime, I think this guy's easily the best voyager prime that's been released, and yeah, I have every voyager mold optimus prime. I'd rank him above most of the leader figures, too.

I am extremely happy to have this guy. While I'll get the RID version too, this will be the one I display with the prime line.

The only improvement I would like to see is reprolabels releasing stripes for the area around the yellow lights on his stomach. They're supposed to be silver, andi t kinda bugs me that they aren't. I'd paint them, but I don't like to permanently modify my figures unless it's really needed.

Sorry to hear that yours actually had stress marks. Hopefully the solution you prescribed will be effective in fixing it.

Got him along with Bulkhead and CJ today and I love them all. Prime skyrocketed to the top of my favorite Prime figures of all time. He just looks so badass. The transformation is fun without being too simple. My only issues are with the truck mode and the seam in the middle not coming together completely and the paint issue on the roof of mine. I dont know how widespread it is but basically 1/2 the roof/ heel is like gloss red and the other 1/2 matte and it makes the colors look off in truck mode. With where that piece ends up in robot mode there would be no way to even tell from the package if it has that problem. Since mine will be in bot mode however the issue is minor for me. I have no regrets spending the extra money to get one from Canada to make sure I have it. I really hope they find a way to get these in more people's hands in the US because its that good.

So I finally got my FE Prime and I of course find him pretty great. Now, I decided to take apart his head, fit the ball joint into it's proper location, and rescrewed the head back together. So the head now does have a good range of movement, but I am a LITTLE worried that the ball joint post is going to wear down from moving the head since it's a little tight. Anyone else feel that way or have it break on them? Or am I just being overly concerned since it's a figure I can't just go back to the store and replace?

Wow, nice! Is this the FE or the Voyager regular edition? I have lost track of all the new terms and such.
