I did not see anyone mention this in this post anywhere. But if you rotate the hand so that the thumb/top of the hand is facing the torso and insert the gun or the sword in through the bottom of the hand from the outside of the forearm. The taper on the back of the gun or the sword match the angle of the outer panel of the arm and give it a smoother more show accurate look. It also puts the painted edge of the sword on the outside.

Managed to find 1 of these on ebay £45ish delivered and considering it was never going get a UK release and postage would be £15-£20 means the figure only cost around £25 which is around the usual price for a voyager, not sure how many is left but there was more than 10 when I ordered mine.

Finally grabbed this guy today at TRU for 30% off, amazing. Absolutely love the transformation especially how his arms fold up an plug into his truck nose. If anyone makes Shapeway cannons, truck pipes and better blades, I'm gonna snatch them up right away. The only thing that I feel lacking in this figure is the paint on his hub caps which can be remedied easily. Can't wait to head home for reading week and touch up Prime's paint in time for Season 2 =D

it's worth mentioning that the grey on him does not look as dull in hand than in pics. he's certainly a toy that looks even better in hand. no regrets dropping "ahh crap no first edition toys in the states i'm panicking buy them all" demand prices.

Tried your suggestion, definitely looks better with the blue side of the blade out :)  However, later on I decided to keep the default hand position, and just inserted the weapon from under the hand, I think it works pretty well. Your suggestion did match up to the panel better, but it's harder to pose him in action shots.

You know, the more I look at the pictures in this thread, the less I feel like I missed out on this. Sure, he has the more accurate weapons, but I feel like, over all, the Powerizer mold (weapons excluded) is better.

While the backpack is more compact here, there are a lot of things that just got kind of thrown onto the back like the grill instead of incorporated into the transformation. Then there are the fake windows covering the real ones, and the huge red heel.

If this guy is released widely, I might pick him up for the unique mold, transformations and maybe the weapons, but I really feel the RID mold is an improvement overall.

I got this guy in the mail on Saturday. I love that the basic transformation sequence is the same as the deluxe. Popped the head forward properly onto the ball joint. What a difference. After getting an in hand look at the powerizer OP when I picked up Megs on Saturday morning, I'm really OK with the $70 shipped I dropped on this guy.

I kind of feel the opposite. I wish I had gotten this guy when I had the chance! There's no way I'm paying ebay prices for him though. Powerizer has bad proportions and lame gimmicks, IMO.

Saw the Powerizer over the weekend in person. I might have been OK with it if it were the only version, but mostly it made me want to go home and hug my $50 FE Prime.

The eBay prices are a bit...insane. But we will see down the road if people are justified in spending that much, or not. It is way too early to say.

I don't think the proportions are that off from the show model, and I'm taking the gimmick out of the equation. In simple terms of the mold itself, before clear plastic and paint and ugly, tumoresque looking lumps that transform into guns are added, I feel the RID mold is (in a lot of ways) more accurate than this.

If Hasbro was to just fold up the cape a little bit more, they would have a fantastic mold in the RID figure.

EDIT: I know this won't be a popular opinion and I'm fine with that, but I just really feel that, overall, the RID is a superior mold.

The head crest on yours isn't painted. That's odd.

Little brother: "Hey big brother! Look at me! I'm wearing the same clothes as you, can I come and play with you and the cool kids?"

Big brother: "Get outta here, kid, you're embarassing me. Go play with RiD Bumblebee or something."

While the FE is mostly accurate & a fantastic figure, I do agree that the RID version is more fun for some reason.

It's got much better shoulder articulation, a more solid alt mode, better range of foot & head articulation, a more accurate rounded-ness to the inner arms and more accurate feet.

It also doesn't cheat in the transformation.

Whereas collectors tend to prefer the FE, I think kids are going to love the RID mold when it sees a mass release.
