Transformers Prime Deluxe Megatron Feedback

Megatron is... an OK figure. I like the jet mode, the transformation is nice, but the robot mode is floppy. His backpack/arm assembly will not sit still and barely plugs into his back.

Jet Mode:

Megatron's jet mode is fairly show accurate, although light and hollow. It stays together well, although the engine/cannon on the top likes to fall off. It does not have any landing gear, so it just sits in Megatron's underspikes.

Transformation:

Megatron's transformation is pretty intricate, although fairly obvious once you see the joints up close. It's clever and fun.

Robot Mode:

Megatron's robot mode LOOKS good and poses well, but he's not very fun to play with. Moving his arms, his backpack assembly keeps unhooking, which makes his upper body flop. A great display piece, but he at least needs some Future Floors to be playable.

You can find the video review here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVGpbJ5FY_Y

EDIT: If you flip around the piece on his back that has the loop that goes around his head, holding this guy normally will keep everything together. Not ideal, but it does work well.

Amazing that you got this. Will you be doing a video review later?

It's uploading now. Pictures are up, too.

I'm amazed, too. I payed for the slow shipping because I wasn't willing to pay $50 just to get it two weeks earlier.

That's still a neat figure. I'm officially on the fence now, thanks.

Oh, yeah, it's a neat figure, it just needs some work to get the backpack to not flop.

I'm guessing a Black Friday release at around $25 for the Entertainment Pack, so this figure WILL be mine...

It looks really fun and show accurate. Even though a larger scaled one is all but confirmed (if not for sure), the deluxe still looks awesome.

I think what I like most about this guy is how well proportioned he is and how little kibble he has. He really does look nice.

Yeah, his vehicle mode looks a little hollow from the underside (but then again, a good majority of TF alt-modes do), but his 'bot mode is surprisingly solid looking, and incredibly imposing.

He looks great. Floppy backpack/shoulder issues are a tad disappointing, but I'm certainly no stranger to fixing those sorts of things up.

Sounds like they forgot to add some tabs. Bummer. Still on the list, though.
