Sideshow Optimus Prime Maquette in-hand images

I haven't seen anyone post that they had received their sideshow Optimus maquette so I wanted to share some quick photos I took on the phone since we have only seen him at conventions or the sideshow website. I will take better photos this weekend. All in all this guy is amazing. He is huge. 2ft tall and while the price tage of $1,200 was a bit insane, you can see the detail they put into him. I am very impressed with the paint, especially the battle damage. I know my pics right now don't do the best job representing him, but I'll show the scuff marks off better this wekend. He would have been awesome with some LEDs, but it's a small gripe when you see him in person. So for now here is Sideshow Optimus. More to follow....

I have no words ... I wait for new photos !!!...
He is... I don't know how say it This is really a very fine job ... It is a pity that he have a battle mask... If it was not, I would have broken to get $ 1200!!!

Does he have pin striping or is that just messy paint apps?

For something so big the detail on the face and the top of the shoulders is kinda soft.

Ii think his paint is very neat. The battle damage is well done. I do agree that the shoulders on top could have used a slight bit more detail but nothing I am really complaining about. The head is very detailed with the silver and gold.

Nice, but not worth $1200 in my opinion. I have seen this in person and the DMK is much nicer.

Hrmn. Not as good as I was expecting it to be. Was hoping the delay meant that they'd add in paintstripes, and for the pricetag it's a bit insane that it doesn't have them. The details do look a bit soft, and they are a bit lacking on top of that. Won't comment on the paintjob until we get better pics, since flash always mucks with colors and makes even the greatest paintjob look horrid.
